If bad weather or other circumstances force cancellation of classes or school closing at John Jay College, there are several ways to stay informed.

Check the John Jay College website jjay.cuny.edu: an alert will be posted on the homepage if the college is closed.

Check your email: the College will send notice to all faculty, staff, and students as soon as a decision has been made to close the college.

The announcements will also be posted on the CUNY web site at cuny.edu, will be made available through 311, and be included as a recorded message on John Jay College's switchboard at 212 237-8000.

The Public Safety Office (212) 237-8524 is open 24 hours a day.

When changing condition require early closing during the workday, an alert will be posted on the John Jay homepage jjay.cuny.edu and an email blast will be sent to all faculty, staff, and students.
