Joan Ringerwole returned home again following surgery and is waiting for further test results. Pray for continued recovery.

Wes Kremers was hospitalized for a few days this past week. He was released and received another chemotherapy treatment later that day.

Meals Ministry

You can still sign up to be on the meals ministry list - contact Michelle Gulker or Evamarie Eggebeen. Also, we are hoping to have some of you make meals for the freezer that we can use. There are containers and labels for you to use in the church kitchen. Remember, keep it simple -- it's the thought and love that counts!

[pic]CROP Hunger Walk - October 9

This year we will be starting the walk right here at Immanuel. Registration will begin at 1:00 and the walk will begin at 1:30. The walk be approximately a 5K & you can choose to walk/run all of it or just part of it. Water stations will be provided.

This is a fantastic community event where the whole family can be involved. Our goal is to have 100 walkers from Immanuel!!! WE CAN DO THIS!!! Sign-ups will take place after services today, where you will receive your donor envelopes. Want to bypass the envelopes & start your fundraising early? Resister on-line and email all your friends and family by going to hudsonvillemi. It is quick and easy!!! Don't forget to join the Immanuel CRC Team while you are there.

Meals for New City Kids

We will need meals for 10 teens and 2 adults every Monday & Wednesday night for the next 12 weeks. We will deliver the meals; all you need to do is prepare it.

If you can help, please call Lynne (669-0527) or Marianne (669-4055). You may drop your meal off by noon at the Rozemas on Mondays or Wednesdays.

Flu Shot Clinic

A Flu Shot Clinic will be held at Immanuel on Tuesday, October 11, from 4-7PM.

Trunk or Treat

We are looking for people to park and pass out candy at Presidential Estates on Saturday, October 29, from 5:30-7:30PM. If you can’t attend, but would like to donate some candy, please drop it off in the church office. See the flyer in your church mailbox for more info.

Hudsonville Christian School Faith Campaign This campaign is ongoing! This year’s campaign goal is to raise $250,000 to be used for building maintenance and tuition assistance for families who need help. Over the course of the coming weeks you may receive either a letter in the mail from HCS or a phone call from a representative of J. Milito & Associates, an organization that we are partnering with to complete our Faith Campaign. Your gift will help us to continue to tell the story of Christian education in our community and beyond. Sunset’s Meals at Home Program, 725 Baldwin Street, is in need of volunteer drivers to deliver hot meals to homebound seniors in Jenison, Hudsonville, and Grandville. The commitment can be for as long as your time will allow. If you are interested in this ministry or would like more information, please call 457-7777 and ask for a Meals at Home staff member.

Community Prayer Service - 7PM, 3rd Wednesday of every month beginning October 19, 2016. The meeting is held at Fair Haven Church (2900 Baldwin Street, Hudsonville) in “The Rock” located at the back of the building.

Senior Health Fair Join The Laurels of Hudsonville and other local healthcare providers this Wednesday, October 5, for a free, fun-filled day for seniors from 8AM to noon. Health fair includes breakfast, vendor booths, flue shots, prizes, spinal checks and hearing checks.

The Christian Reformed Conference Grounds is  excited to welcome LEGACY FIVE in concert this Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 7 PM in our new Worship Center.  This group has been making their mark in the Southern Gospel world since 2000.  They have been featured in many Gaither and Friends Homecoming videos and appeared on a host of TV networks and magazines.  Reserved seating tickets for this concert are now on sale!  Advanced sale price is $15 for center, cushioned seating, $10 for side, back, plastic seating. October 19-23 is Fall Harvest Festival camping weekend at the Christian Reformed Conference Grounds! Please join us for this weekend of fun, fellowship, and food! There will be hayrides, family games, pumpkin carving, scavenger hunts, hot cider & donuts, and freshly picked apples! Knowing that the grief journey can be difficult and as a complimentary service to our community, Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Directors provide Grief Support Group meetings on the second Monday of each month. Join us at 1pm at our Kentwood location, 4646 Kalamazoo Avenue SE or at 7pm at our Grandville location, 4145 Chicago Drive, SW.  Rev. Gene Pearson, a licensed, certified Professional Counselor, is the facilitator for the groups.  Coffee and cookies are served. Our next meetings will be held on Monday, October 10. Classis Georgetown is seeking to fill two part-time staff positions for the Classis. Both positions are paid by stipend. Questions, position descriptions and inquiries should be directed to Rev Marc Nelesen at marcn@ or 669-5180. Applicants should submit a letter of interest, list appropriate leadership experience, and three references. Candidates should submit their materials no later than October 10. The vision team also welcomes recommendations from the Classis for our consideration.

• Classis Vision Team Leader - the vision team leader will facilitate the monthly meetings of the Classis leadership team and will coordinate the planning and organizational dimensions of Classis. This person will play a leading role in executing the joint leadership and administrative tasks of the Vision Team. The preferred candidate will be a layperson from within one of the classis churches and have proven leadership abilities. The ideal candidate will have a good rapport and reputation within the Classis churches.

• Stated Clerk - the clerk of Classis will handle the dissemination of information within the Classis, will provide organization for the Classis meetings, and will be an ex-officio member of the vision team. The preferred candidate will be familiar with the church order, organized, a team-player, and gifted with communication skills.
