CLASSROOM GUIDELINES FOR SUCCESS

CLASSROOM PRINCIPLES

I. Respect others as well as yourself.

II. Help one another whenever you can or when asked.

III. Be patient with yourself, others and the teacher.

IV. Always do your best.

V. Express your individuality so others get to know you.

MATERIALS

Bring the following materials with you everyday: your textbook, 3 ring binder, pen or pencil, and notebook paper for class participation.

CLASSROOM PROCEDURES

1. Raise your hand to be called upon. Please do not call out.

2. Throw away unwanted papers and material as you enter or leave the class.

3. Eating or drinking is prohibited in the class.

4. Always write legibly. If I cannot read it, I cannot grade it.

5. While class is in progress do not disturb others with unnecessary talking.

6. Profanity is never an acceptable way to express oneself.

7. Be considerate of your classmates by arriving on time. Three strikes your out.

8. If you do not understand something, PLEASE see me after class or after school. I will be available in room 107 or the library 3:15.

9. DO NOT sleep in class.

10. Hall pass- each student will be permitted to use the hall pass 3x per 6 weeks. Students must have BHS handbook to leave classroom.

11. Keep all your graded papers so you will be able to keep track of your grades throughout a grading period. Notebooks will be collected at the end of each 6wks.

12. You are responsible for all work completed while you are absent. Call a friend or see me after class. All make-up work must be completed two days after you return to class. This requirement includes class notes.

13. Grading scale follows the school board policy.
