Saludos. Read the dialogue below and answer the following questions in English.
José: ¡Buenos días, María!
María: ¿Qué tal?
José: Muy bien, gracias, ¿y tú?

Jose: ¡Hasta luego!
María: ¡Adiós!
1. What time of the day does this conversation take place? Most likely in the morning.

1. Describe the difference between the pronouns tú and usted.
The difference is that “tú” is addressing someone in a informal/casual tone. “Usted” is used to address someone in a more formal/polite tone.

11. Compare the way the students in Spanish speaking countries address their teachers as compared with the students in the United States.
12. Why do you think so many Hispanic immigrants choose to live in Florida?
