POSITION TITLE:Op Shop and Retail Team Leader LOCATION:SouthernREPORTS TO:Op Shop and Retail Area Manager DIRECT REPORTS:Op Shop ManagersPURPOSE: To assist the regional Op Shop and Retail Area Manager in driving performance of op shops and retail outlets within the area to maximise revenue and retail performance, support staff and volunteers, promote one SPCA culture, share knowledge across the Op Shop team and embed national policies and procedures. This includes deputising for the Op Shop and Retail Area Manager as required. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Drive financial performance of assigned storesProvide information and analysis to Op Shop and Retail Area Manager to support correct structures of op shops including trading hours, locations and rosters.Monitor performance of assigned stores against agreed financial and non-financial performance measuresSupport the delivery of national and area marketing through coordinating effective setup and execution of each campaign thereby maximising the sales potential and measuring revenue resultsWork with Op Shop Managers and their teams to build relationships with local community including relationships with local SPCA centres, vet partnerships and donations. Regular review of category performance within each shop to providing insight into issues and growth opportunitiesRegularly visit stores to help build understanding of local issues, implement strategies to improve sales and conduct any required auditsActively participate in the development and roll out of new standards and processes as coordinated by the Op Shop and Retail Area Manager and National Op Shop and Retail Manager.Ensure each store’s environment promotes a positive customer and donor experienceWork with the Op Shop and Retail Area Manager to manage budgets and act within delegated authorityEnsure correct cash handling and POS procedures are followed by all Op Shop employees and volunteersProvide day to day operational support and guidance to the assigned Op Shop Team, supporting them as high performing, capable and competent team members, delivering high levels of customer and donor satisfaction.Support the Op Shop and Retail Area Manager to develop high performing teams, through effective recruitment, performance development and leadership of all team members. Work in partnership with the Op Shop and Retail Area Manager to recruit the right fit team members for assigned stores.Provide mentoring and day to day operational support and guidance to the Op Shop Managers.Ensure optimum employee and volunteer capability, engagement, training and satisfaction. Ensure managers understand efficient stock management, customer service and revenue requirements.Deal with performance issues as they arise, seeks advice and guidance from the Op Shop and Retail Area Manager and HR Advisor, and aims for positive outcomes to performance issues.Manage escalated customer complaints as and when municate and share information within the area and regionally to drive municate in a timely and effective manner with employees and volunteers of plete the administrative tasks for assigned stores as required by the Op Shop and Retail Area Manager to ensure the efficient running of the assigned op shops. Where required, authorise payroll weekly, approve leave and arrange cover as and when plete end of month reporting requirements.Distribute communications to managers as and when required.Liaise with landlords and property managers as and when plete all administrative and reporting requirements in an accurate and timely manner.Support process improvement groups and projects across the organisation to improve organisational performance.
