Job description

Title: Millbrook Nursery Plus 2 Key Worker

Responsible to: Nursery Plus 2 Lead Practitioner

Primary tasks: To assist with the day to day running of Nursery Plus 2, planning, assessing, and providing excellent Early Years Provision in a safe and stimulating environment.

Conditions: Bucks Pay Range 1B

|Main Duties and Responsibilities: |

|To supervise a wide variety of quality Early Years experiences, complying with EYFS and health and safety requirements. |

|To ensure the implementation of the Equal Opportunities policy at all times. |

|To assist the manager with rotas and timetables. |

|To support the staff team and identify training needs, and organise regular team planning meetings. |

|To assist the manager to coordinate and manage volunteers. |

|To model good practise as a lead keyworker in the setting. |

|To implement the behaviour policy and all other policies and procedures. |

|To undertake and record observations and completing the children’s Learning Journeys. |

|To undertake the Two Year Old Check for your key children. |

|To have a good level of ICT knowledge to complete reports and be able to input the children’s data on an ICT based tracker. |

|Produce resources and plan for stimulating Early Years experiences both inside and outside for use with children. |

|Lead in the process of ensuring activities achieve the targets defined in individual education plans and meet any requirements specified within statements of |

|special educational needs (SEND) |

|Provide first aid when necessary, and keep written records of any incidents or accidents which parents should be informed of and sign. |

|To promote positive communication with parents and carers. |

|To liaise with school staff and facilitate co-operation with the school. |

|To monitor the condition of the premises and equipment, and ensure the premises are used in consideration for other users. |

|Undertake other reasonable tasks that may be requested by the line manager |

|To attend regular team meetings and supervisions. |

|To undertake relevant training as deemed necessary. |
