CSSC have arranged for a hill walking weekend with a difference. It will be mainly be a retreat with multiple Yoga and Wellbeing activities with pleasant short walks to compliment these practices.BackgroundCSSC Hill Walking have been running walking weekends nationally for over 10 years. We trialed yoga and wellbeing sessions at Hartington Hall last year and the sessions were well received by the attendees. This prompted us to try a Yoga Retreat. The aim of the retreat is to try yoga and other wellbeing activities, in a comfortable friendly group. It doesn’t matter if you haven’t tried yoga before you will be provided a mat, blanket etc. along with all the guidance you need to undertake the class safely. To complement the yoga there will sessions in meditation, a gong bath (sound therapy) , reiki (healing energy) all in the comfort of Meadow lodge that also has a relaxing sensory room and therapy bath. Whether you come on your own or bring some friends, there is always a welcoming atmosphere that will make the weekend all the more entertaining. It’s a great opportunity to meet new people who all share the same outlook.VenueMeadow Lodge at Lea Green Outdoor Activity Centre is a disability friendly self-contained building set in the grounds of a former stately home now used by Derbyshire County council as one if their activity centres. Next door to meadow lodge is the Cottage offering additional accommodation for our group. The comfortable lodge offers single, twin and three bedded rooms. There are six rooms and two rooms share one of the three en-suite bathroom. The lodge has a commercial kitchen leading through a dining room to a large warm sitting room with comfortable sofas. The meadow lodge link has a virtual tour of the building.Outside meadow lodge is a large private car park surrounded by lawns and trees offering a relaxed setting for the weekend.Lea green website lodge link with a video of the accommodation. the end of the drive the village of Lea has a Pub offering meals and this is less than five miles from Cromford station.
