Comparison and Contrast Power Point Presentation01905Your assignment is to compare and contrast two subjects. You should provide at least three points that you address through a power point analysis. You should support your points with evidence. For example, if you are comparing and contrasting a product, you should research the product online by using consumer reviews, specifics from advertisements, critics’ opinions, etc. You should include your evidence to support the points you present. First, decide on a purpose for your comparison/contrast. Are you trying to choose a gift for someone? Are you looking for the best sweater for your personal use? Are you trying to decide on a movie to see? Are you trying to argue with another person regarding what is a better sports team? Your first slide should present your subjects and define your purpose. You should narrate to the class how you came about choosing your topicNext, present the points you will addressPresent your comparisons/contrasts using either subject by subject or point by point. (This will affect what you will include on your different slides.)Once you decide on your points, you will research your subjects to offer evidence in your slides. Examples:For example, if I was trying to choose what type of coffee maker to buy, I may include price as one of my points. I would then search online and get a variety of prices for different coffee makers. I would add the information to a power point slide that included the names of the stores and prices that I found. If I was trying to decide on what concert to attend, I may base my decision of the length of the show. I could go online and search for music reviews of live performances. I would then include my supporting evidence on a slide. If I was going to decide on purchasing a GPS for my mother, I may decide that I want to focus on the quality and how long the product will last. I would go online to and find different products. I would then read through the consumer reviews and use these to make my decision. I would include part of the reviews on my power point slide. right000After incorporating all of the points and the analysis of your subjects into the PPT, you must present an additional slide that depicts your ultimate choice. (What movie would you see? What product would you buy? What restaurant would you go to?)Please include the top reasons you used to make your final decision. Your last slide will be a Works Cited Page where you provide the MLA citation for the sites you used for you research. (You should have at least 3 sources)You should have 6-8 slides (or more) for your completed power pointInclude visuals as well as words on your slides.
