It’s recommended that the grant money be used to put a turf field under the lights at Canale, and take the softball field out and utilize the space for additional parking. The turf field will be used for 11x11 soccer, lacrosse and football. There is another meeting tomorrow to make a proposal on a final decision. We could possibly run into an issue with scheduling with other sports using the field as well. The Club could possibly look at putting funds towards the Township to ensure the maintenance of the fields. We should have more information the middle of January. EHT High School has requested two more turf fields for their athletic programs. Joe Olivieri, Vice President, reported the following:New Goals were approved, they will be ordered next month. I’ll be working with the coordinators for any equipment purchases for the upcoming season. Mandatory SJSA Boys coaching meeting, 10 Feb 2020, this meeting will go over all new rule changes. Banquet, 11 Feb at 6pm. Make sure you get your numbers in for the Banquet, there is a limit of 350 attendees. SJSA, certification are all good if already loaded in the system. No fines on the Boys side, which is great news! There will be a meeting with PST to go over Try-outs and training for travel and intramurals. We need to make sure we are ahead of everything to avoid any issues. There will continue to be a U8 Travel team going forward, for Boys/Girls.Jason Carroll, Micro Coordinator, reported the following:The Micro season practices start 2 Mar 2020. The season will start on 4 Apr and run through 23 May 20. Nate Schaefer, Intramural Coordinator, reported the following: Registration should open this week for the spring intermural season. Flyers should be sent out this week, we are just waiting on numbers from a few schools. U15 intermural teams may return to Shore County Soccer, due to only having two teams in the In-House League. All other ages will be conducted In-House. The SCS is “suppose” to be implementing a new carding system and Atlantic City and Pleasantville have already pulled out of the League. Please spread the word about Spring Registration! Ken Ballard, Girls Travel Coordinator, reported the following: There are eight girl teams registered for the spring. Scholarship are open for the SJSA until Jan 15th, please pass the word to apply for the scholarships. On 10 Feb 2020, there is a mandatory girls coaches meeting at Highland High School. Coaches will collect any Cash or Checks for players not using PayPal. The 2019 Financial review. Travel program puts us in a negative balance alone, Recreation brings in monies to pay for the travel teams. When the Club shows 57K account balance, it doesn’t mean we have 57K to buy things. These funds are going to be used for Training and Equipment. Training alone is 20k just for the Spring Season. But, there are some funds the club can put towards the turf fields is that’s an option the Club decides to move in that direction. James Chubb, Secretary, reported the following: Nothing to report. Open Discussion: Has there been any discussion for grading the rest of the fields. Matt: The fields will be getting a ton of work done this summer, especially if the Turf field is approved. Grading the other fields is something we can suggest to the Parks Department. Are we able to have a team in the spring, but not the fall? This is due to kids moving into the HS level. Joe: Yes, we just have to inform SJSA. Meeting was adjourned at 7:59 PM Minutes taken as heard by James Chubb ................
