Contribute directly to the accomplishment of the following ISSL goals:To oversee all daily operational requirements and ensure all industry standards are met within the engineering departmentBuild relationships with both internal and external clients to maintain growth in the Engineering departmentPrice and win profitable jobs and projects within the Engineering department Compliance with all company policies and other legal requirements, including but not limited to the Health & Safety at Work Act. In particular:Adhere to all ISSL health and safety policies at all times and in all workplace areas.Lead safety standards by being a good example to colleagues.Maintain a safe working environment for yourself and all other personnel and the public in accordance the Health & Safety legislation.Ensure Job Safety Analysis and Hazard Identification sheets are completed before work on each new task is started, when required. Ensure incidents are reported with 24 hours.Also, if in a Supervisory or Management role, ensure that all required personnel have the correct P.P.E to safely carry out their work duties safely. Ensure that you are involved with the Job Analysis and Hazard Identification process and signed on to the sheets; help other staff with this as required. Be involved in identifying and reporting hazards in the work area. Be the first line of contact for supervisory staff for HSE matters. Learn the HSE operating system Vault and actively use it within your role. Teach team leaders how to use and access Vault. Ensure incident reports are completed and entered into Vault within 48 hours. Comply, so far as you are reasonably able, with any reasonable instruction that is given by the Employer to allow the Employer to comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act or regulationsKey Tasks in this Role: Check that all Quality Assurance (QA) protocols are being adhered to and performed. Keeping a record of all QAs for current yearKeep Quality Assurance (QA) monitoring up to date by checking critical dimensions with plans specification and use QA checklist while project is being made.Implement and monitor appropriate training for all engineering staff, including apprentices, and ensure staff are appropriately trained for tasksCoordinate and manage engineering division’s daily work requirements.Assist estimator on pricing work and QA documentation.Assisting the team with work methods and time managementFind innovative ways to service the clients’ needs while maintaining high standards of workmanship, cleanliness and safety.GeneralCarry out all justified work instructions from the managerDuties of employees shall include any work which may be required of them in connection with the employers business, provided the employee has the appropriate skills and / or qualificationsCultural Fit Requirements.
