|Working as part of the Business Intelligence & Insight team and with colleagues within the Transport, Economy and Environment (TEE) Business Unit, across|

|the council and partner services; the post holder will work as part of a team ensuring high quality, accurate and timely information is produced and used|

|to drive improvement across the TEE portfolio for a fixed-term 12 month secondment. |

| |

|The post holder will lead on the production of high quality intelligence and insight and ensure these are communicated clearly using visualisation |

|techniques. The post holder will proactively horizon scan to identify and recommend areas for improvement, including finding new and innovative uses of |

|Business Intelligence and Insight. |

| |

|The post holder will frequently create and develop bespoke performance reports, navigate technically complex data extraction and preparation, conduct |

|detailed statistical analysis, regularly formulate and communicate recommendations and support the team to ensure all statutory requirements are met. |

|required and key dataset and services are managed appropriately. Make evidence-based recommendations to support improvement. |

|Proactively engage and develop effective working relationships with colleagues and partners to ensure that business processes for internal systems enable|

|both internal and external Business Intelligence, Insight and Performance reporting requirements to be met. |

|Work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure that there is clarity on what BI&I can offer, that work undertaken is in line with the |

|BI&I vision and that insight provided is understood and utilised. Support customers to understand the art of the possible and provide challenge as |

|appropriate to minimise time spent on low-value requests and failure demand. |

|Develop the use of reporting tools, identifying new ways to engage customers and delivering self service functions. Integrate data from multiple sources |

|to inform cross-cutting analysis and drive decision making, working with colleagues across the BI&I function as appropriate. |

|Engage with local, regional and national forums to identify good practice, stay up to date with the latest thinking, research, policy and developments. |

|To prepare, coordinate and deliver internal performance reporting and other key datasets for inspection and monitoring purposes |

|Proactively horizon scan to ensure that latest technology, skills, tools and techniques are leveraged for maximum benefit. Work with colleagues across |

|the BI&I function to maximise the use of new reporting tools and capabilities within the team. |
