|Job Purpose To successfully develop and support the Council’s Corporate and Business Unit IT applications which are key to meeting the requirements of|

|the digital and ICT strategies. |

|The applications in use include: Liquidlogic LCS and EHM, Capita ONE, OLM AIS/SWIFT, CACI TCO. |

|Application support: System Administration tasks. Assisting with and ensuring that applications are maintained and are operating effectively to meet |

|the needs of Business Units across the Council. Monitoring the operation of the application(s), identifying and troubleshooting any issues arising and|

|liaising with both the users and supplier in resolving those issues. Gain a detailed understanding of systems configuration for allocated systems. |

|Application projects and development: Maintaining an awareness of developments in new technology products & services making recommendations as |

|appropriate. Assisting with tasks to support stakeholders during implementation of projects and developments. Communicating with end users, colleagues|

|and suppliers about the impact and testing of upgrades. Providing support to ensure the delivery of projects and developments within agreed |

|specifications and timetables |

|Service management: Liaising with users, support colleagues and suppliers over technical support issues and routine and major software upgrades. |

|Contributing to Service Management through continual service improvement. Taking an active role in business process modelling and redesign. |

|User support: Providing day to day support and development advice to users and stakeholders; maintaining application licenses and support / help |

|documentation. Contributing to the training of users. |

|Information management: Assisting with ensuring that information associated with applications is effectively managed with consideration of data |

|protection requirements. |

|Audit and security: Ensuring that Audit requirements are fully considered. Conforming to agreed security procedures and standards relating to data, |

|systems and finance, and all other policies & procedures, including installation standards. |

|Customer Service and communication: Putting the customer first. First class communication and presentation skills, both oral and written |

|Accountability: To manage individual workload (self), under appropriate supervision, in accordance with agreed prioritisation methods, standards, |

|authorised procedures and all relevant legislation |
