The Events and Travel Team helps to support business growth, and to build strong and prosperous rural communities through delivery of superior sponsorship and events. This role is a fixed term secondment based in FMG’s Palmerston North office.

Purpose of the role

The Events Coordinator is responsible for supporting the coordination and planning of FMG’s regional sponsorship and event activity alongside the Event Specialists as well as other activities executed by the Events and Travel Team. In addition, the role provides support to the Manager, Events and Travel who has overall responsibility for the travel and event portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

|Planning |Maintains and updates FMG event calendar and loads events to the FMG website with guidance from Events |

| |and Travel Team |

| |Assists and coordinates the administrative component of Tier 3 and 4 External Events portfolio alongside|

| |the Event Specialist. |

| |Assists with planning and ordering event equipment, merchandise, and prizes for alliance activity |

| |Collaborates and aligns with other Events Coordinator to ensure consistent process and workflow. |

|Event Support |Provides support for the Event Specialists when they are on site at an event. |

| |Collates post event feedback and drafts reports for Event Specialists |

| |Attends events from time to time with the team to provide on the ground support. |

| |Provides support to the Manager, Events & Travel |

| |Manages event signage and office event equipment and merchandise orders. |

|Team Participation |Proactively assists and supports Events and Travel Team colleagues and regional sales team members |

| |Shares information and resources and provides feedback in a positive and collaborative manner |

| |Participates in Events and Travel Team meetings as required |

| |Collaborates with other Events Coordinator and Travel & Events Coordinator with process and workload to |

| |ensure consistency and balance. |

| |Works hard to retain one plan between both islands, sharing and enhancing ideas and improvements. |

|Administration |Monitors and updates required platforms with tier 4 activity, assisting Area Manager and Event |

| |Specialist. |

| |Orders collateral & merchandise for all FMG offices |

| |Prepares draft of monthly Area Manager meetings agendas and regional event plans |

| |Codes invoices for Event Specialists and accurately records expenses. |

| |Collaborates and aligns with marketing coordinator to ensure consistent approach across the board. |
