Features industry-leading applications: Adobe InDesign and Adobe Acrobat. This course enables the Web Designer to create new electronic publications and/or convert traditional print documents for publication to the Web. Students also create files appropriate for mobile devices, such as the Apple iPad, the Amazon Kindle, and the Barnes & Noble Nook.

4. Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of the course the student will be able to:

• Differentiate digital publishing formats and types for Web sites that are used for desktop and mobile computers and for specialized devices, such as the Amazon Kindle and the Barnes & Noble Nook

• Create Acrobat PDF eDocs from varied office applications

• Author a basic eBook using Adobe InDesign and Adobe Acrobat

• Integrate images and multimedia elements in to ePublications

• Create an interactive Magazine using Adobe Digital Publishing Suite

• Self-Publish an original eBook to an distributor such as Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP), Smashwords, BookBaby, Barnes & Noble’s PubIt, Lulu, Booktango, or iBooks
