DATE:Feb 2021 POSITION TITLE:SPCA Certified - Business Partnerships Manager LOCATION:Auckland/flexibleREPORTS TO:GM Social Enterprise (dotted line to Chief Scientific Officer)DIRECT REPORTS:NilPURPOSE: The SPCA Certified - Business Partnerships Manager is responsible for growing the SPCA Certified scheme through identifying and negotiating contracts with SPCA Certified members and overseeing the promotion of the certification scheme to New Zealand consumers.The primary focus of this role will be to drive business development for SPCA Certified, growing the number of license-holders and ultimately resulting in better animal welfare outcomes for more farmed and companion animals in New Zealand. The SPCA Certified Business Partnerships Manager will be responsible for building relationships with the food service industry, generating leads and networking, to acquire and retain SPCA Certified members. The role will also be responsible for growing the new SPCA Certified companion animal programme.This is a key role within the business, so team fit is important. Our ideal candidate will be comfortable?building relationships and communicating with senior executives in the grocery and food service industry as well as in the companion animals service sectorThe role will have shared responsibility for programme management for SPCA Certified, alongside the SPCA Certified - Animal Welfare Partnerships Manager who will lead on welfare standards, audits and farm/companion animal services relationships. Day to day responsibilities include:Responsibility for overall business development, including developing and onboarding a pipeline of new scheme participants within the grocery and food service industryManaging existing grocery and food service relationshipsProviding a consultative selling approach tailored to industry/field.Business planning, forecasting and reportingFinancial performance, cost recoveryLegal and financial relationshipsWorking with the SPCA Certified Animal Welfare Partnerships Manager to develop plans for extension of supply chain certificationMembership process, procedures, policies and communications for licensees.Working with the SPCA Certified - Animal Welfare Partnerships Manager to build stakeholder engagement plan, including relationships with international schemes in order to build knowledge and resources.Overseeing programme marketing and logo approvals.Some travel will be required.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Acquisition planning and executionCreate and execute an annual programme plan for SPCA Certified., meeting agreed annual membership targets.CRM and Customer pipeline managementResponsible for the creation and execution of a Customer PipelineResponsible for managing and keeping up to date the CRM and customer pipeline Customer contracts and fees To lead, with the support of the Animal Welfare Partnerships Manager, the negotiation and updating of existing member contracts.To negotiate and onboard new members onto SPCA CertifiedTo be responsible for keeping contracts up to date and in line with SPCA Certified strategy.To review and propose fees prices based on sound rationale with supporting research (for each industry)Consumer awarenessWork with marketing team to build awareness and support of SPCA Certified and oversee approvals process for use of the programme logoMaintains integrity of SPCA Certified within SPCAEnsure the initiative remains aligned with SPCA’s strategy and valuesWork positively and effectively with the Animal Welfare Partnerships Manager to ensure the scheme upholds SPCA’s scientific standards and integrity.
