This year, the American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA) is excited to partner with CDHA for their National Dental Hygienists Week? Put Your Purple On! Campaign. We are writing to request that the municipal landmark________________________ in the community of _________________________ be lit in purple to celebrate National Dental Hygienists Week? as part of the Canadian Dental Hygienists Association’s and American Dental Hygienists’ Association’s Put Your Purple On! campaign. Why purple? The color purple is associated with dental hygiene and has been the official color of dental professionals since 1897 when lilac was first chosen for the emblem of the National Association of Dental Faculties. Purple has long been the trim color for dental hygiene graduates' caps and gowns and is said to signify compassion, purpose and inspiration.334391038481000Last year, sixteen Canadian landmarks, including the Vancouver Olympic Cauldron, BC Place Stadium, Calgary Tower, CN Tower, Edmonton High-Level Bridge, RBC Convention Centre (Winnipeg), Peace Bridge (Fort Erie/Buffalo), and the Pelham Arches, were lit in purple.
