BourayM2129155145034000ark N. Bouray was born August 26, 1961, to Wilmer G. and B. Kaye Bouray in Superior, NE. Mark was a spirited young man who, with the help of his brothers, kept his parents busy and entertained growing up on the farm north of Courtland. He attended grade school at Republic and high school in Courtland. In high school, Mark enjoyed all sports, with his first love being football. Mark was a homecoming king candidate and participated in a play. During school, there were a lot of school trips that his family was involved in. Mark shared many stories of camping trips, bonfires, and rolling a tire down a hill. After graduating in 1979, Mark attended North Central Kansas Area Vocational Technical School in Beloit, KS. In 1981, he ventured back to Superior, NE and began working at Mid-American Dairymen, Inc. While there, he made many new friends and made everyone’s life a little more enjoyable. When that facility closed, his brother Kirk convinced him to move to McPherson where there were lots of job opportunities. In 1994, Mark began a new phase of his life and got a job at CertainTeed, where yet again he touched many. He created more lasting friendships, including that of his one true love, Kelly. On October 28, 1998, Mark expanded his family by taking Kelly to Las Vegas and making her his lifelong companion. In doing so, he added three beautiful children to his family, who loved him greatly. continued→→ A football injury in high school, led to a knee replacement, causing Mark to find a new career. In 2005, Mark learned of an open position as a security guard at the NCRA facility, where his wife, Kelly, was currently working, and jumped at the opportunityto be closer to his wife. Mark received numerous awards and recognitions including Officer of the Month. Due to his dedication to his professionalism, he was promoted to Security Site Supervisor. He continued to receive awards and recognition, including a full-page write-up for Supervisor of the Month. He was often lovingly referred to as “One Bullet Barney.” He was given a key chain with one bullet and kept it with him at all times. 749304953000 Mark’s love of sports didn’t end with high school. He played on co-ed softball and bowling leagues. His knee replacement slowed him down, but couldn’t keep him away. He frequently attended as many sporting events as possible; KC Royals games, indoor arena football, Chiefs games, and, above all, K-State games. After many K-State games, he finally got those coveted season tickets. 340169528638500 Mark was a fan of all forms of entertainment, from comedy to horror and gore. Some of his favorites include the late Chris Farley, everything Stephen King, and the list goes on. When it came time for relaxation, he spent many summers camping at the lake. Mark had a wide range of musical interests, heavily influenced from rides to school with older brother Brad. His iPod music ranged from KISS and Ozzy Osbourne, to Boston, Patty Loveless, and Sara Evans. Mark always enjoyed time spent with his family: his parents, Wilmer and Kaye, his brothers, Brad and wife, Jalonda, and their boys Darrin and Kyle, Brian and his wife, Sandy, and their children, Nick, Miranda, Dexter, and Bailey, and youngest brother Kirk and his wife, Lisa, and daughter Bethanie. Mark’s enjoyment of family didn’t stop with his immediate siblings. He enjoyed Kelly’s family as well. Most of his time was spent with wife Kelly, daughters Starla and her fiancé, Josh, and his boys, Matthew and James; Merissa and her husband, Greg, and their daughter, Mark’s little sunshine, Sybil; and late son, Calvin.
