What is the best manikin to purchase?Prestan? manikins were suggested by a nurse that used them for training. Per the manufacturer, they are latex free, durable and the skin resists dirt, grime and grease. Realistic to the eye and touch. Some of their models have the CPR rate monitor for instant feedback. If you purchase Prestan? be sure the one you buy has the feedback for CPR rate. Why does the roster need all the information filled in correctly and why does MFA need “Rate Your Program” sheet? The roster is a document that may have legal consequences if not done correctly. The primary Instructor is responsible for the proper completion. Other Instructors should check the document before signing for correctness. The information is also used by the Rider Educator. The “Rate Your Program” sheets are a requirement of HSI for-quality assurance and auditing purpose and kept for three (3) years with the other paperwork. Why do we have to take MFA class every two years? We teach Medic First Aid, CPR, AED to adults to help develop skills and confidence to respond to medical emergencies. Scientifically, it has been proven we lose knowledge by not using our skills every day therefore, a four (4) hour course is highly recommended in order to review the skills. ................
