Authors submitting articles from outside the United States may submit their manuscripts as disks, cds, or email attachments and without printed copies.

Copyright

The Historian and Blackwell require authors to assign copyright to the publisher.

Editorial Process

The Historian employs double-blind peer reviews to assess manuscript submissions. Prior to external reviews, however, the editorial staff will assess manuscripts for obvious problems and may require corrections and additions. Subsequent peer reviews may also require additional revisions. After submission to the publisher, copy-editors may also detect errors; authors will be responsible for correcting proofs supplied to them.
