II. Description
An elementary course in American Sign Language (ASL) introducing students to the language and the culture of its users. ASL is more than just signed vocabulary, it is a unique and living language that depends on body movement and facial expression to change or enhance the meaning of the sign vocabulary.

IV. Grading
Students are evaluated on written tests, receptive language skills (via receptive quizzes), and expressive language skills (via video assignments). Grades are based on:
• Classwork/Quizzes (Receptive Only)
• Tests
• Receptive Quizzes
• Written Tests
• Expressive Exams
Grading Policy
A = 90% - 100%
B = 80% - 89%
C = 70% - 79%
D = 60% - 69%
F = 59% and below
