Dear Capital Markets Partners,

Please participate in this very important 20-day peer review of the Capital Markets Briefing Paper: Business Case for Commercializing Sustainable Investment©.  The paper and background documents are at this link:

The Briefing Paper outlines that sustainable investment including green buildings and certified sustainable manufactured products, when compared to conventional investment, provides investors substantially more value and less risk. Sustainable investment also benefits the U.S. and global economies, the environment and social equity.

As part of the due diligence, investors representing more than $3.3 trillion in assets were surveyed. As the Briefing Paper notes, investors have a substantial appetite for sustainable financial investment products.

In discussing The CMP plans to approve the Briefing Paper and publicly release it to top investme top investment bank management in 2dQ 2009 at a meeting at the New York St New York Stock Exchange.

The goal of the Sustainable Investment Initiative is to tap the capital markets’ power to stimulate the economy and make an important contribution to the fight against climate change.

We recognize the valuable contributions of numerous professionals during this four year Wall Street Sustainable Investment due diligence process and hope they can continue participating in this important expansion of the sustainable investment industry.

Your comments on the Briefing Paper will help the Initiative realize its full potential. Please submit comments or questions to 202-338-3131 or info@. Thank you.

Very truly yours,
