Project: Funds approved to award a construction contract for new fire alarm systems and communication, energy management and security systems at the American School for the Deaf in West Hartford (Project Number BI-DF-31).

Project: Funds approved to finance the design of Phase I implementation of the Master Plan for Housatonic Community College in Bridgeport (BI-CTC-407). This project consists of the renovation of the former Sears building, adjacent structures, and the performing arts center in the existing campus building. The Sears building will house a bookstore, cafeteria, conference rooms and classrooms. The existing building will house, in addition to the performing arts center, additional classrooms and faculty offices.

Project: Funds approved to award a construction contract to replace the roof on the Lowe Building at Manchester Community College in Manchester (BI-CTC-396).

Project: Funds approved to finance the design of Phase 2 implementation of the Master Plan for Norwalk Community College (BI-CTC-406). This project consists of improvements to West Campus including a new 35,280 square foot addition for classrooms, seminar rooms and faculty offices. Wing “A” will be modernized to include systems upgrades, building exterior replacement, and improvements to academic space. Wing “C” will be upgraded to include laboratories and classrooms.

It will include classrooms, administrative offices and laboratories for Biology, Sustainable Energy, Environmental Earth Science, Physical Science, Math and Computer Science. Also featured are a greenhouse and a 150-seat lecture hall. The new building will be located in the southwestern corner of the campus, south of Webb Hall.
