Drug Screen Information

Updated 1-26-09

Central Washington Hospital (CWH) requires all students to obtain a basic 5 panel drug screen prior to the start of an internship. The drug screen can be obtained from any certified lab of the student’s choosing.  Students can also use the company used by CWH: Certified Background. Certified Background is available at the CWH Employee Health Department and they have labs in the Seattle area.  More detailed information is available on the pdf form provided by CWH and posted on the Clinical Education website entitled “Central Washington Hospital_special requirement_background and drug screen”

The drug screen needs to be current, 12 months or less and should be negative for the following:

            Amphetamines

            Cannabinoids

            Cocaine

            Opiates

            Phencyclidine

Drug screen results must be provided to CWH prior to the start date of your internship.
