[Pages:2]APPLYING FOR FEDERAL STUDENT AID

The most important process in applying for financial aid is filing the free application for federal student aid (fafsa) application each year. The fafsa can be completed online at Fafsa. -- the fastest and most accurate way to apply. At AAMU, the fafsa is the only application required for federal, state, or institutional grants, work-study or loans for fall and spring term financial aid. Our priority date for submission of the fafsa is F e b r u a r y 1 for t h e f o l l o w i n g a c a d e m i c y e a r . Submitting your fafsa prior to this priority date will allow you the best opportunity to be considered for certain limited funding sources such as FSEOG and Federal Work Study.
