MEETING BULLETIN

1. Dates and Venue

The sixth Meeting of the Aeronautical Communications Panel (ACP) Working Group Surface (ACP-WG/S) which will be held at the Sendai City Information & Industrial Plaza (near the Sendai Station), in Sendai, from 13 to 14 November 2014 in the 6th FL of AER Building, Conference Room “Seminar room(2)A” at the kind invitation of the member nominated by Japan.

The meeting will start at 09:30 on the first day, 13 September, and will finish by 17:00 on the last day, 14 September.

2. Meeting Rooms and Telecons

2.1 Meeting Rooms

The meeting will take place at auditorium on the 6th floor of AER Building, Conference Room “Seminar room (2) A”.

2.2 Telecons

It’s not available to be held Telecons.

4. Transportation

4.1. From NARITA Airport to Sendai Airport (by Airplane)

•It to Sendai Airport takes about an hour's flight from Narita Airport. In addition, there are two flights a day.

4.2. From SENDAI Airport to JR Sendai Station (by Train)

•Access of JR Sendai Station takes advantage of the rapid or local train of Sendai airport access line from Sendai Airport. About 25-minutes by local train, is a 17-minute rapid time to Sendai Station from Sendai Airport, fare 650 Yen.

4.3. From NARITA Airport to Tokyo Station (by Bus or Trains)

• Airport limousine is recommended transportation from Narita Airport to the Tokyo Station. Travel time is, subject to traffic, about 90 minutes, fare 3,000 Yen.

• JR Express Train, known as Narita Express (or NEX) is another recommended transportation from JR Narita Airport Station to the JR Tokyo Station. The JR Narita Express runs every 30 minutes during daytime. Travel time is about 65 minutes, with the fare 3,020 yen.

4.4 From HANEDA Airport to Tokyo Station (by Bus or Trains)

• Airport limousine is recommended transportation from HANEDA Airport to the Tokyo Station. Travel time is, subject to traffic, about 30 minutes, fare 930 Yen.

• Directions of Tokyo Station is recommended Tokyo Monorail from HANEDA Airport. Requires a change to the JR Yamanote Line at the Hamamatsucho Station of the Tokyo Monorail. Travel time is about 30 minutes, with the fare 650 yen.

4.5 From Tokyo Station to Sendai Station (by Train)

• From JR Tokyo Station, take the Tohoku Shinkansen Line to Sendai. Travel time is about 100 minutes, with the fare 11,200 yen.

5. Passport, visa and customs

All foreign nationals entering Japan must possess valid passports or other valid documents for travel. Visitors from certain countries are not required to obtain visas for a temporary visit. It should, however, be noted that the temporary visa exemption and its length are decided for each country. And the exemption issued upon arrival at the airport cannot be extended beyond the period except under extraordinary circumstances.
