New things are happening in human anatomy and physiology all around us every day. Current events give us a chance to learn about some of these issues and discoveries in class. You will be looking for a current article online that deals with a topic or issue in human anatomy.

( BE CAREFUL – if you are not sure whether an article relates to human anatomy…ASK!!! (

Writer (70pts total)

1. Find and post an anatomy article on pbwiki (10pts) –

Posting procedure:

1-Find an anatomy related article that you find interesting and would like to share

with the class.

2-Log on to with your username and

password.

3-On FrontPage, under Navigator, click on the “Current Events (your period)”

folder.

4-Click on the “New” icon and “Create a page”.

5-Name your page using the title of your article

6-Select your newly created page and click on “edit”.

7-Once on the editing screen, copy and paste your article onto the page. In order

to paste the article or any copied information, you must use the little clipboard icon. (Don’t forget to credit the source!)

8-Save your page and post the first comment according to the guidelines below.

You will type your comment into the “Add a comment” box. Then click the

“Add comment” button when you are ready to submit.

2. Post Source (5pts)– Be sure to identify the exact website you copied your article from.

3. Post Date of Article (5pts)– Accuracy is important. Keep in mind this is supposed

to be a current event. Therefore, the article should’ve been

posted/published within the past two months.

4. Opinion or thought/reaction paragraph (50pts) – After you post your article, you will

write the first comment. Please include the following in your response….

a. what you actually think about the topic of the article AND why

(react to the subject of the article)

b. what are the parts of the article you liked and the parts you disliked

(critique how the article was written)

c. were there any details the article lacked or parts you would’ve liked to know

more about

d. how does this article affect you and your life (be specific)

e. what have you specifically learned from the article

Reader (30pts total)

If it is not your week to post a current event, then all you will need to do is log on to pbwiki, read and post a response to any one of the current event articles posted that week.

You will be posting a total of three responses over the course of each marking period.

1. Post a comment once a week (10pts. each) – You will need to write a response to one

of the articles posted each week (you will not do this on the week you post an

article). Your response can be a comment about the article’s topic and/or

about someone else’s comment. However, your response must be a minimum

of three sentences.
