Grading Rubric for Poster



Dear 6th Graders,

You will not be taking an end of the chapter test on Ancient China. Instead, you will be completing a project that will be worth a TEST grade.

DUE DATE: MONDAY, FEBRUARY 27TH

Here is the breakdown:

Part 1: Kids Discover Unit: 70 POINTS

• Complete the assigned 5 lessons in Kids Discover and accompanying quizzes on each.

• Short answers/discussion questions MUST be in complete sentences.

• Short answer/discussion questions : 5 points each

• Multiple Choice: 3 points each

• True/False : 2 points each

Part 2: Poster Project: 30 POINTS

• You will choose a topic that relates to Ancient China. Research that topic and create a poster that tells about it.

• Your poster should focus on ONE particular area that we learned.

• Topic suggestions, a poster rubric, and a sample are in a list below.

• Your poster should have a title, pictures/illustrations, and TYPED captions that discuss your topic.

I have listed research resources to help you find additional information on your topic. They are listed below. Remember these are only suggestions. If you need additional information and/or pictures you can do additional research on your own.
