6th Grade Social Studies SyllabusOVERVIEW: The sixth grade social studies curriculum focuses on the ancient world from the early hominids through the first great civilizations. The History Alive textbook incorporates an eight step approach to help make the information meaningful and exciting to the students. The eight steps are: 1. Standard based content 2. Cooperative tolerant classroom 3. Preview assignments4. Multiple intelligence activities 5. Considerate text 6. Graphically organized notes 7. Processing assignments 8. Multiple intelligence assessments.
