When you say the word “Medieval” or “Middle Ages,” it conjures up visions of knights and ladies, Robin Hood and “Braveheart”. But, what was it REALLY like to live in the Middle Ages? Use your textbook and the following website to investigate life in the Middle Ages.

1. What is feudalism? What led to the feudal system in Europe? How would you describe Western Europe after the fall of Rome? (You may draw a picture)
