He was the owner/operator of C-K Garage Door Company. In prior years, he had worked at the NCRA Refinery, Kansas Cylinder Head, and owned C-K Vending.Cliff was born May 16, 1929, in Keely, Kansas, the son of Raymond and Nancy (Biggs) Kerschner. He attended Turkey Creek Grade School, Hutchinson Junior High School, and McPherson High School. Cliff served in the U.S. Army Corps and the U.S. Air Force. On October 18, 1952, he was united in marriage to T-Ann Wallerstedt at Trinity Lutheran Church in McPherson, Kansas. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the Hutchinson Collector Car Club, McPherson Mustang Club, B.P.O.E. #502, Masonic Lodge #172, and sang in the Messiah in Lindsborg for 42 years.Cliff was a devoted Christian and caring husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. He found good in everyone he knew and loved his family dearly. He was proud of Tonya and Craig, that they are both teachers and making an impact on students and always wanted the best for them. They have also inherited Cliff’s love for cars and animals. Cliff was blessed with a nice bass voice and enjoyed music; singing in the Trinity Church Choir, Messiah, and other places. Cliff and T-Ann have been active members of the American-Scandinavian Association for many years and enjoyed the Swedish festivals. Driving his Mustang in the Hyllningsfest parade with the Bethany College President was an honor for Cliff. This past October he wasn’t able to drive in the parade, but Tonya drove his car to keep the tradition. For being a 100% German, he made a good Swede. Cliff liked German and Swedish foods, especially T-Ann’s Mom’s Swedish pancakes, rye bread, and meatballs.(continued on back)He had a great sense of humor, was always there to help anyone in need, and loved working on his cars. Cliff could repair and fix most anything to avoid buying something new and saved things he might need “someday”. Through the garage door business of twenty-two years and travels with T-Ann, Cliff made many new friends and never met a stranger. Everyone he met would be asked, “What’s your name and where are you from?” Work was always a joy for him. Cliff and T-Ann relaxed by traveling and camping with family and friends.Survivors include: his wife, T-Ann of the home; daughter, Tonya A. Kerschner of El Dorado, KS; son, Craig H.
