The COVID-19 pandemic has introduced many uncertainties, including how we will return to school and how that learning environment could change over the course of the school year.Our top priority in all decisions is the health, safety, and well-being of our students, employees, and school communities. Therefore, our decision on back to school will be based upon what is best for students and staff. The pandemic has changed our community and world.This letter is to ask you to make a selection for your child’s educational needs for the 2020-2021 school year. Via this letter, all parents and guardians are asked to decide if they would like a virtual learning setting or face-to-face setting for your child or children. The virtual setting requires internet service at home. The face-to-face setting requires students to physically attend school. Please note that we cannot finalize the face-to-face option until we know how many students we need to serve face-to-face. Families without internet access will soon receive information as how internet service will be provided. The service will be based upon income. Upon receipt of this letter, I am respectfully asking you to contact your child’s school and inform the principal if you would like a virtual setting or face-to-face setting. Please note that your selection for Prek-8th grade can be changed after nine weeks, and 9th-12th can be changed after the semester. If there is a need to change the selection, the principals will have full authority to grant a change of setting if needed.
