Geology Unit Project – Landforms

Plate Tectonic Landform ProjectDirections:Pick a landform from the attached list or select your own landform and have it approved by your teacher.Your task is to create an interactive PowerPoint presentation for your selected landform. The PowerPoint needs to include the following features from the PowerPoint program: hyperlinks; action buttons; and autoshapes. The interactive PowerPoint needs to have a “Title Slide” that includes your name; title of the landform; and hyperlink titles about your landform listed in direction #5. Each slide needs a heading or title; labels on all pictures or diagrams; and any lines of text need to be 7 words or less in length. The following information needs to be included on additional slides that are hyperlinked to your “Title Slide” by the titles listed below:Geographic LOCATION: Provide a map & describe where the landform is located geographically (state, country etc.). TECTONIC LOCATION: Provide a map & description of where the landform is located on a tectonic plate (interior of a plate or along plate boundaries). Be sure to include the name of the tectonic plate(s).AGE: Explain when the landform was created. How old is it? (OR) How long has it been forming? Provide an image of your landform (if possible connecting to its age of formation).FORMATION: Provide a detailed explanation of how tectonic forces formed your landform. Your explanation should also include the type of boundary and how the plates are movinga picture or diagram helping to explain the formation of the landformhuman impact: Describe how your landform and/or the process that created it impacts human existence. Include a picture that demonstrates this impact.THE FUTURE: Hypothesize, what you think is likely to happen to this landform in the future. Give a logical, detailed explanation for your prediction. Provide a picture that connects to the content on this slide.BIBLIOGRAPHY: Need to include a minimum of TWO reliable sources in the proper format (Noodle Bib).FINISHED PROJECT IS DUE _____________Landform List: Mid-Atlantic RidgeAppalachian MountainsMt.
