Craig Della Valle, MDCraig Della Valle, MD, is a professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Rush University. He received his medical school training at the University of Pennsylvania, graduating with AOA Honors. He completed his residency training at NYU and his Adult Reconstruction Fellowship at Rush University. He joined the staff at Rush University and has remained there for the past 13 years. He has served as the Fellowship director for Adult Reconstruction at Rush while maintaining a busy clinical practice, having performed over 7,000 hip and knee arthroplasty procedures He has been a prolific researcher in the area of hip and knee arthroplasty. As the author of over 150 peer reviewed journal articles, 240 national presentations, and multiple book chapters, he is a leader in the field of hip and knee arthroplasty. His research has focused on both primary and revision hip and knee arthroplasty to provide the best evidence for clinical practice in orthopaedics. He continues to serve on multiple editorial committees for peer reviewed journals including Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, Journal of Arthroplasty, and Clinical Orthopaedic Related Research.
