This was brilliant opportunity to meet and create games alongside some of the best students in the world. Fifteen teams were chosen to compete in the competition out of the many that applied. The game that we created was called FIX, a 2.5D puzzle platformer for the PC. It was created using the Unity Engine in nine weeks. In FIX you play as a robot mechanic, MRK-10, in a futuristic factory. The main mechanic in the game is platform creation. These are used to traverse the environment and overcome obstacles and solve various puzzles throughout the game. While part of this team I was responsible for the management of the team ensuring we keep up with deadlines and produced work to the best standard possible. I was also responsible for programming some of the mechanics within FIX such as; lasers, pistons, saws and the puzzles throughout the game.
