Important Notes

Licensing FieldGenius for Android

New for FieldGenius For Android, MicroSurvey has implemented an online Licensing system to support multi-platform mobile products. The original Windows FieldGenius software is a separate product line and there is no upgrade path to FieldGenius for Android; it is a new product line with no previous versions. Customers will need to create an account on the MicroSurvey customer portal to download FieldGenius For Android. To create an account, go to license.solo/customers and create a new account. Once you have logged in after successfully confirming your email address, you may register any existing licenses to transfer them to your customer account. To receive a new license, please call 1-800-668-3312 to purchase, or request a free demo at fga. To download the software, select the "Licenses & Activations" section on the customer portal, select your license, then select the download button. This will download the installation file (com.microsurvey.fieldgenius.apk), which can be opened on your android device to install FieldGenius for Android. To activate the software, run FieldGenius for Android on your device, then enter the License ID and Password from the customer portal where you previously downloaded the .apk file. MicroSurvey FieldGenius For Android runs on Android tablets with the following minimum hardware requirements:

? Operating system: Android OS 6.0 or newer ? Form Factor: Phone and Tablet (a screen size smaller than 4 inches is not recommended; DPI values less than 213

MicroSurvey has created 27 short videos to help customers see how to use the core features and functionality of FieldGenius for Android. These videos are focused on how to use particular features or accomplish common survey tasks in the application. You can watch them online or download for offline viewing by visiting the FieldGenius for Android Movies topic in our online helpdesk.

Technical Support

MicroSurvey provides free 24x7 self-support to all users via our online helpdesk at helpdesk. where you can find knowledgebase articles, downloads, and a trouble shooter. This is a good starting point for any problems that are not answered in your Help file and Manuals.

For technical support, please visit our helpdesk at helpdesk. to submit a helpdesk ticket to our technical support staff. If you do not have internet access, you can phone our office at 1-800-668-3312 and a ticket will be created for you.

Technical Support is provided free of charge until December 31, 2020 for users who purchase a copy of FieldGenius For Android by December 31, 2019. Following this introductory period, additional technical support is available via your Annual Maintenance Subscription (AMS).

Users may now create reference profiles for base setups

Radio Configurations

Users may now configure radio settings for base/rover setups, enabling RTK GNSS.

Geoid Catalog

Users may now select and download specific geoids directly to their device, for immediate use in project setup. MicroSurvey's entire geoid library is available.

Stake Report

Users may now export a stake report and share it via available options on their android device.

Internal GNSS

Users may now connect directly to the internal GNSS of their android device for measurements and staking.
