Mr. Dudley Gaspar, 84, a native and resident of Berwick, La., died Friday, Oct.
30.
He is survived by his sons, David and Mitchell Gaspar; daughters, Linda (Joe)
Keller, Fay (Nelson) Anslem and Wendy (John) Peeples; 23 grandchildren; 34
great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents Louis and Lucretia Gaspar; wife, Rachel
Gaspar; sons, Dudley Jr. and Michael Gaspar; daughter, Deborah Gaspar;
brothers, Louis Raymond Gaspar; sisters, Eula Fitzpatrick and Marguerite
Cubbedge; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.
He was a medic in the U.S. Army during World War II and later became an
ordained minister. He was always striving to save lives one way or the other.
He was a die-hard Saints fan, even when they were being the "Aints" and others
wore brown paper bags on their heads. He was always such an encouragement to
everyone he was around and enjoyed bringing hope to his or her lives. He was a
wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle to his family and
will be truly missed.
The funeral service was Monday, Nov. 2, with burial at Morgan City Cemetery.

Odell Ewing LaGrange, 91, a native of Morgan City and a resident of Franklin,
died, Tuesday November 3, 2009 at 6:20 am at Franklin Foundation Hospital.
Ms. LaGrange is survived by her three daughters, Violet Belanger of Franklin,
Patsy Phillips and her husband, Gary, both of Jeanerette and Penny Falgout of
Houma; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and 2 great great
grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Alvin LaGrange; her son,
Michael J. LaGrange; her daughter, Diana Broussard; her parents, John and Leona
Daigle Ewing; her son-in-law, Solomon J. Gator Falgout; her brother, Evert
Ewing; her two sisters, Genevieve Trimble and Olive Rogers and her grandson,
Eugene Battaglia.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed Thursday at Iberts from
10am to 1pm, with a Rosary at 1pm.
Father Cormier will conduct a funeral service at Iberts on Thursday at 1:30
pm, with burial following in Baldwin at the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The American Heart Fund.

Ernest Polidore, 52, a resident and native of Franklin, died Thursday,
October 29, 2009 at Our Lady of Lourdes in Lafayette.
Visitation will be at St. Jules Catholic Church in Franklin, Wednesday,
November 4, from 1 p.m. until funeral services at 2 p.m. Interment will follow
in the church cemetery.
Ernest is survived by his daughter, Johara Sasser of Houston, Texas; a
sister, Cynthia Polidore Arceneaux of Atlanta, Georgia; and three brothers,
Roman Polidore Jr. of Houston, Texas, John Raymond Polidore of Lafayette and
Gerald L. Polidore of Bossier City; two grandchildren and other relatives and
friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

HEBERT, LENORE
Lenore Marie Hebert, 64, died in El Cajon, California on Nov. 2, 2009
following a short illness.
Lenore was a native of Baldwin and remained in the area until a few years
ago when she moved to California. She was a life member of the American Legion
Auxiliary Post 63 in Franklin, and a former employee of the Chitimacha Tribe of
Louisiana.
Lenore is survived by sisters, Mary Catherine Hebert of New Iberia, Debra
Boudreaux (Elray) of Charenton and Cheryl Duncan (Butch) of Franklin; brothers,
Bruce Hebert (Laurie) of El Cajon, Neal Hebert (Ellen) of Baldwin, Freddy
Lafont Jr. (Earline) of Franklin, Lonny Lafont (Tuy-Hiep) of Bradenton,
Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Claude Hebert and Eleonore
Marie Hebert.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in El Cajon, California.

Earl Kennon Ashley, 61, a native of Centerville and a resident of Petal,
Mississippi, died Thursday, November 5, 2009.
Mr. Ashley is survived by his wife, Kay Robertson Ashley of Petal, MS; two
daughters, Kelly K. Warren of Clearwater, FL and Amanda Lea Robinson and her
husband Jerry of Petal, MS; his mother, Violet Ruth Theriot Ashley of Franklin;
four brothers, Carol Ashley, Jr. of Franklin, Paul Ashley of New Iberia,
Chester Ashley of Columbia, MS, Enos Ashley of Franklin; four sisters, Jane
Bridges and Delores Pace both of Centerville, Sharon Crump and Kathy Bourgeois
both of Huffmen, TX; four grandchildren, Kelsie Sanchez, Kayla Sanchez, Ty
Howell, Kinlea Robinson.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carol Ashley.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed Saturday November 7th from
6pm to 9pm at the Calvary Bible Church in Centerville.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 8th at 11am at the Calvary Bible
Church with Rev. Curtis Pace officiating. Burial will follow in the
Presbyterian Cemetery in Centerville.

Mr. John Mannel Dilsaver Jr., 89, a native of Supply, N.C., and a resident of
Stephensville, La., died Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine Breaux Dilsaver; sons, Nick (Suzanne) and
Douglas Dilsaver; daughter, Peggy Clark; sisters, Betty (Bill) Earle and
Virginia (Herb) Hill; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Mannel and Jewel Sellers
Dilsaver; brothers, Quentin, Ed, David, Floyd, and Roy Dilsaver; and sister,
Margaret Adams.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was owner of the Marine
Construction Company Patterson, La., and later became co-owner of the American
Towing Company in Berwick, La. He was a former co-owner of the American Supply
Company in Morgan City, La., and a former Director of the Louisiana Land Owners
in Baton Rouge, La. He was a former board member of the Morgan City Fire and
Police Civil Service Board, the Morgan City Doric Lodge F & AM Lodge #205, and
the 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Baton Rouge Consistry. In 1963 he was appointed a
director with Citizen's National Bank in Morgan City now Whitney Bank. He was
also a former board member of the New Orleans Open golfing tournament. He also
served on the St. Martin Parish Water & Sewer Board from 1979 to 2005. He
greatly enjoyed his family life, children and grandchildren, and was an avid
golfer and sports fisherman.

GILMORE, GERTRUDE BREAUX
Ms. Gertrude Breaux Gilmore, 99, a native of Raceland, La., and a resident of
Berwick, La., died Monday, Nov. 2, 2009.
She is survived by her sons, Guy Sr. and David Gilmore; daughters, Kathleen
Barrilleaux and Sue Scarbrough; and numerous grandchildren, great-
grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Alice Breaux; husband,
Cecil Gilmore; three brothers; four sisters; and one grandson.
She was Catholic and a parishioner of St. Stephen's Church in Berwick. She
enjoyed many things in her long life but most of all her children,
grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The funeral service was Wednesday, Nov. 4, with burial at Berwick Cemetery.

Mr. Murphy "JB" Gilmore Jr., 87, a native of Baton Rouge, La., and a resident

Morgan City, La., died Monday, Nov. 2, 2009.
He is survived by his wife, Agnes Mayon Gilmore; son, Leo (Suzette) Gilmore;
daughter, Rosa Belle (George) Gros; sister, Billie (Louis) Plaisance; nine
grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Murphy and Aline Breaux Gilmore Sr.;
and son, James Gilmore.
He was a lifelong boat captain working 15 years in the shrimping industry and
34 years as a captain for Arthur Levy Boat Company.
He proudly served his country during World War II in the U.S. Navy and was a
member of American Legion Post #96 in Morgan City.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, and 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Friday, Nov. 6, at Hargrave Funeral Home's Chapel. The funeral service will be
at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the East St. Mary Veterans Funeral
Squad conducting Military graveside services at Morgan City Cemetery.

Mr. George Jones Sr., 87, a resident and native of Baldwin, died Monday,
Nov. 2, 2009, at 10:55 a.m., at the Regional Medical Center in Lafayette
following a short illness.
He is survived by two daughters, Dorothy Jones and Mary Land J. Brown of
Baldwin; four brothers, Lionel Jones Sr. of Franklin, Arthur Jones Sr. and
Henry Jones of Baldwin and Felton Jones Sr. of Four Corners; six grandchildren;
and six great grandchildren.
Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one son, one daughter,
one grandson, two sisters and three brothers.
Visitations will be observed Saturday, Nov. 7, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at
the Special Providence Baptist Church in Baldwin.
Burial rites will be read Saturday, at 1 p.m., at that church, with the Rev.
W.J. Otis officiating. Interment will follow in the Special Providence
Cemetery.

Stanley H. Pipes, 74, a resident of Franklin and native of Baton Rouge, died
Tuesday, November 4, 2009 at his home.
He retired as treasurer for Sterling Sugars. He served in the Navy during
the Cuban Crisis. He was a member of the Franklin Rotary Club and former
Chairman of the St. Mary Parish Water Management District.
Visiting will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy. in
Baton Rouge, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., on Friday and 10 a.m., on Saturday.
Service will be conducted by the Rev. Glen Miers, at 11 a.m., on Saturday
with a burial at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
He is survived by one daughter, Cynthia Pipes Farris; one son, Stanley H.
Pipes Jr.; his grandchildren, Justin Paul Pipes, Stephanie Michelle Pipes,
Kristin Nicole Pipes, Corey John Trahan, Brandon Dean Farris and wife, Vania,
and Jessica Ann Farris; two great grandchildren, Ethan Jose and Emma Rene

Mr. Lester Pierre Simoneaux, 86, a native of Franklin, La., and a resident of
Morgan City, La., died Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009.
He is survived by his daughters, Connie Simoneaux and Geraldine Barrow; son,
Bill (Joyce) Duet; brothers, Pete, Ira and Nolan Simoneaux; sisters, Lelia,
Betty and Eve; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-
great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Belle Simoneaux; parents, Wilfred Sr. and
Sedonia Simoneaux; brother, Wilfred Simoneaux Jr.; sister, Lula Mae Collura;
and two grandchildren.
Before retiring he was a diesel mechanic and eventual co-owner of Landry &
Simoneaux Diesel in Morgan City. He was a jack-of-all trades and did much of
the construction of their beautiful home in Morgan City. He and his wife loved
dancing, cooking and entertaining in their home and had many memorable parties
for neighbors and friends. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy
during World War II.
The visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, and 8 a.m. to 9:30
a.m. Friday, Nov. 6 at Twin City Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be
at 10 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with interment at Morgan City
Mausoleum. Military Honors will be conducted by the East St. Mary Veterans
Funeral Squad.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary ODell Falterman Blanchard; his
father, Rene Blanchard; his mother, Anita Gaudet Blanchard; his two brothers,
Abel and Elton Blanchard; his sister, Marie Ann Blanchard; his brother-in-laws,
Clarest Frederick, Raymond Charpentier, Rodney Businelle and Ernest Blanco; his

DARNALL, EUGENE HARRIS, II
LAFAYETTE - Funeral services will be held Monday, November 9, 2009, at 11
a.m., at the First United Methodist Church, 703 Lee Avenue in Lafayette, for
Mr. Eugene Harris Darnall II, one of Lafayettes earliest and most respected
certified public accountants.
Mr. Darnall died peacefully at his residence in Lafayette on Thursday,
November 5, 2009 after a long battle with cancer. He was 84.
Interment will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park in Lafayette.
The Rev. Jan Holloway of First United Methodist Church in Lafayette will
officiate.
Mr. Darnall was born on August 6, 1925 in Franklin where he grew up. After
spending a year at LSU, he entered the U.S. Army during WWII where he served in
the Pacific theater with the 186th HQ, 41st Infantry Division specifically
the Philippines. After the war ended, he was stationed at Hiroshima during the
first few months of occupation of Japan.
Upon returning home, Eugene married and settled in Lafayette and graduated
from SLI in accounting. At the time, he became one of only three practicing
CPAs in Lafayette. He then founded the firm that carries his name Darnall,
Sikes, Gardes and Frederick, a large firm that includes regional offices. Mr.
Darnalls professional associations include the American Institute of
Accountants and the Louisiana Society of CPAs, from whom he received his 50th
anniversary certificate.
Mr. Darnall is survived by Anne Carline Darnall, his wife of 63 years; his
three sons, Gene Darnall and wife, Kathy, Clay Darnall and wife, Lynette, and
Robert Darnall and wife, Jeanne, all of Lafayette; his daughter Melanie Darnall
Newton and husband, Ron, of Flower Mound, Texas; 11 grandchildren, Jennifer,
John and Heather Newton and Gene, Kate, Bryce, Annie, Christopher, Grace, Bobby
and Michael Darnall; and one sister, Barbara Darnall Powers of Lafayette.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Harris Darnall and the
former Alice Agnes Brunner; one sister Marguerite Sullivan; and grandson, Mark
Darnall.
Friends will be received at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home in Lafayette from
5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday, November 8, and again on Monday, November 9, at
First United Methodist Church in Lafayette from 9 a.m. until the time of
services.
Pallbearers are John Newton, Eugene Darnall IV, Bryce Darnall, Robert
Darnall Jr., Michael Darnall, Christopher Darnall, David Powers and Alan
Powers.
Honorary bearers are Alan Jack Guidroz, Wallace Carline, Ron Newton, Edgar

Demarch Robertson Jones, 43, died Sunday, November 1, 2009 at Terrebonne
General Hospital at 7:54 p.m. following a long illness. She served in the
United States Navy.

Stanley H. Pipes, 74, a resident of Franklin and native of Baton Rouge, died
Tuesday, November 4, 2009 at his home.
He retired as treasurer for Sterling Sugars. He served in the Navy during
the Cuban Crisis. He was a member of the Franklin Rotary Club and former
Chairman of the St. Mary Parish Water Management District.
Visiting will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy. in
Baton Rouge, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., on Friday and 10 a.m., on Saturday.
Service will be conducted by the Rev. Glen Miers, at 11 a.m., on Saturday

He is survived by one daughter, Cynthia Pipes Farris; one son, Stanley H.

A Celebration of Life Service was held for Sophie A. August, the former
Sophie Alexander, 62, on Friday, November 13, 2009, at 1 p.m., at Mount Calvary
Baptist Church in Jeanerette, with the Rev. Arthur Lee Jones officiating.
She will await the resurrection at St. Peter United Methodist Cemetery in
Jeanerette.
A gathering of family and friends was held Thursday, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.,
and on Friday at the church at 8 a.m. until time of service.
A native and resident of Jeanerette, Mrs. August passed on Monday, November
9, 2009 at Iberia Medical Center. She was a member of Mount Calvary Baptist
Church where she served as one of the church secretaries; she was a member of
the Senior Choir, Daughters of Calvary, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority; Louisiana
Association of Educators, National Educators Association, Louisiana Principal
Association and Louisiana Federation of Teachers. She was a 1965 graduate of
Francis Boley High School where she was valedictorian of her class. She
attended Grambling State University and the University of Louisiana and she
acquired a Masters +30 degree. She taught at Franklin Senior High School in
Home Economics for many years then moved to administration. After retirement
she worked at B.E. Boudreaux/West St. Mary High School. She worked in the Job
for American Graduates Program. She served as Assistant Principal at Franklin
Senior High School for many years and has touched many lives.
She leaves in Gods care her husband, Clifton August Sr. and son, Damon
August of Jeanerette; one brother, Leroy Raymond Alexander Sr. (Valarie) of
Houston, Texas; five sisters, Ruby L. Dupuis (George) of Jeanerette, Patricia
Alexander of New Iberia, Shirley Raymond, Regina Grant and Trucella Johnson,
all of Jeanerette; two grandchildren, Oceana August and Damonique August of
Jeanerette; and godchildren, Taheveia Williams, Marcus Charles Manuel, Audria
Madise, Carla August, Tyra Loston and Markues Grant; and a host of nieces,
nephews, other relatives and friends.
She now joins in glory with her parents, Roscoe Alexander and Hilda Hamilton
Alexander; and one son, Clifton August Jr.

Mr. Dallas LeeJean Perry, 77, a native of Geneva, Ala., and a resident of

Dallas was preceded in death by his mother; two brothers; and three sisters.
He worked for the City of Morgan City for many years. He was a faithful member
of First Baptist Church. He loved the Lord with all his heart and soul. He was
a missionary for the deaf, and made several journeys out of the country. He was
also the former president of the La Deaf Association. He was a remarkable man
who always had a smile as big as life itself. He will be sadly missed by all
those who knew and loved this great man.

He is survived by his loving wife of 141D 2 years, Darla Lowery of Hackberry;
two sons, Jacob Lowery of Hackberry and Jeremy Lowery of Sulphur; two
daughters, Elizabeth Verret and husband, Jason, of Charenton, and Kyla
Langlinais of Lake Charles; his mother, Thelma Cuvillier Lowery; granddaughter,

Mr. Donald Charles Smith, 84, a native and resident of Patterson, La., died
Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009.
He is survived by his wife, Leona Smith; sons, Don, Dan (Denise) and Todd
Smith; daughters, Trisha (John) Tieperman, Trudy (Drew) Andrews and Ginger
(Wally) Griffin; sisters, Pat (Louis) Michot and Jane Evans; 11 grandchildren;
and three great-grandchildren.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corp. during World War II and won several
air metals and the Philippine Liberation Ribbon for his service in the
Philippine Liberation Cir. and the Mandated Island Cir. He was a sugar cane
farmer for Kemper Williams, a member of the American Legion and the Knights of
Columbus. He was a very devoted Catholic and a family man who was loved by many
in the Tri-City area. He will be very much missed by the ones whose lives were
touched with just a kind smile and a tender look with his blue eyes.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, at St. Joseph Catholic
Church in Patterson with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. He will be
entombed at St. Joseph Mausoleum.

MENARD, TROY A.
Troy Anthony Menard, 46, LSU AgCenter 4-H Agent, passed away on November 11,
2009. He was born March 9, 1963 and raised in Charenton.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Michelle Maillet Menard; daughter,
Sara; and son, Scott. His parents are Judy Soprano and Carroll Menard of
Charenton. He has one brother, Toby and wife, Charlotte, of Amsterdam, Holland.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Paul and Rena Menard of Cade and
Peter and Anna Mae Soprano of Charenton.
Troy was a 1981 graduate of Hanson Memorial High School in Franklin. He
received his Bachelor of Science degree in 1987 from Southern Arkansas
University in Magnolia, Arkansas and later earned his Master of Science degree
in Agricultural Education in 2003 from the University of Arkansas in
Fayetteville. He embraced a 15-year teaching career between Magnolia High in
Magnolia, Arkansas and Fairvew Jr. High in Camden, Arkansas. Troy began his LSU
AgCenter career as a research associate at the Red River Research Station,
Bossier Parish, in 1999. He was appointed as Caddo Parish County agent in 2000,
and then assumed 4-H duties for Bossier Parish in 2006. Recently he was
appointed County Agent for Bossier City.
Troy was a member and usher of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in
Shreveport. He was a member of the Captain-Shreve Grid Iron Booster Club and
Baseball Dugout Club, past president and member of Shreveport Kiwanis, current
vice president of Louisiana Association of Extension 4-H Agents, and past
president and member of Acadiana Homeowners Association.
Troy loved working with and being around youth whether it was part of the
job or just filling a need. He especially supported his own two children
throughout their sports and academic activities and took great joy in being
their dad. His presence will be greatly missed during the State Fair of
Louisiana, 4-H academic and educational trips, school club meetings all over
Bossier Parish and especially Captain Shreve football and baseball games.
Visitation was held at Rose-Neath South, 2529 Southside Drive, Shreveport,
on Sunday, November 15. Funeral services were held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton
Catholic Church, 522 Flournoy Lucas Road, Shreveport, Monday, November 16 with
burial at Hill Crest Cemetery, 601 Highway 80, Haughton, Louisiana.
Pallbearers included Jeff Crnkovic, Ricky Kilpatrick, John LeVasseur,
Mohamed Shamsie, Johnnie Tupper, Matthew Rains, Gerard Rodriguez, Eddie Jordan
and Myron Rabalais.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the LSU

LAFAYETTE - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, November
25, 2009, at 10 a.m., at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home in Lafayette for Mrs.
Kathryn M. Kitty Hefner, 82, who passed away Monday, November 23, 2009, at
Bethany MHS Healthcare Center in Lafayette.
Entombment will follow in Fountain Memorial Cemetery in Lafayette. Monsignor
Robie Robichaux, pastor of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Lafayette, will
officiate.
Kitty, as she was known to family and friends, was born in Foster, La. and grew
up in nearby Centerville along with her two brothers and two sisters. In 1944,
she attained a secretarial degree from Dominican College in New Orleans.
Shortly after, she went to work for Shell Oil in Franklin as a secretary, where
she was once named Miss Shell of the Month. It was at Shell Oil where she met
her future husband, Charlie Hefner. They married in October of 1950. After
living a short time in Morgan City, they moved to Opelousas, where they started
their family. A few years later, they moved to Lafayette where she has resided
since.
Kitty very much loved her home and family, and was very much loved in return.
Since February of 2008, she was a resident of Bethany MHS Healthcare Center.
The staff and residents became her second family, taking wonderful care of her,
for which her husband and children will always be grateful.
Mrs. Hefner is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Charles N. Hefner
Jr. of Lafayette; two daughters, Kathy Cornay and her husband, Steve, and
Laurie Hefner, all of Lafayette; her four sons, Mike Hefner and his wife, Mary,
of Duson; Danny Hefner and his wife, Blanche, and David Hefner, all of
Lafayette; and James Hefner and his wife, Julie, of Cleburne, Texas; her two
brothers, Joe Lajaunie and his wife, Jean, of Slidell and John Lajaunie of
Centerville; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and loving friends
Will Horton and Mary Harris, both of Lafayette.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Lajaunie of Chacahoula, La. and
the former Effie Robicheaux of Charenton; her daughter, Kim Hefner; her
grandson, Steven Zachary Cornay; and her two sisters, Marie Walker and Juanita
Boudreaux.

JoAnn Thomas Pugh, 78, a native of Bossier City and resident of Franklin for
the past 66 years, passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2009, at 1:02 p.m., at

Mrs. Pugh was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church of
Franklin and a former member of Eastern Star. Her greatest joy was found in her
love for her family.

Colorado, Ashton Russell Rusty Pugh of Franklin and Wallace Preston Pugh of

Ms. Lillian Blanchard Aucoin, 93, a native of Bayou L'Ourse, La., and a resident
of Amelia, La., died Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2009.
She is survived by her sons, Emile (Elsie) and Stanley (Connie) Aucoin Jr.;
daughters; Betty Vicknair, Marion Bernard, Leona Crawford, Lillian (Harry)
Rebardie, Judy (Michael) Tabor, Carolyn Giandelone, Brenda (Jimmy) Butler and
Pam (Ira) Patureau; 33 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; and 18 great-
great-grandchildren.
She loved her children, grandchildren and her great grandchildren very much and
in turn received much love from them. She understood much about life and knew
how to give the right answer for life's questions when they came up. Her family
and friends will miss her tremendously.
She is buried at St. Andrew's Catholic Cemetery in Amelia.

Mr. Bermingham P. Hebert, 83, a native of Basile, La., and a resident of
Amelia, La., died Saturday, Nov. 28, 2009.
He is survived by his wife, Pearl McDaniel Hebert; daughters, Erina Mae Thomson
and Yvonne Morrison; sons, Kenneth Sr. (Cyretha), William and Edwin (Becky)
Hebert; sisters, Lolafern Dietz and Lillie (Darryl) Comeaux; 17 grandchildren;
17great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
He was a very prayerful man and a devout Catholic. He was a member of St.
Andrews Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He had a joy for life and
enjoyed French music and dancing. He loved to tinker with things and had a
green thumb when it came to his yard. He never met a stranger, always had a
smile and liked joking around for a little fun. He loved his wife, children and
especially enjoyed spoiling his grandchildren.
Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, Nov. 30, at Twin City Funeral Home
and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, at St. Andrews Catholic Church with Mass
