Sort books in your toolkit or books in your house. Then tell an adult how you know if it is fiction or nonfiction. Remember: Fiction tells a story with characters, setting, problem and solution. Non-fiction is a text with facts and text features (contents, glossary, real pictures…) Tasks: Go to Seesaw: ActivitiesLook at the book cover and then move the book into the fiction or nonfiction column. Post to your Seesaw Journal. Create words using your Fundations tiles from yesterdayEstimated Time: 15 minutes Explanation: You will manipulate the Fundations letter tiles to make words with glued sounds -an, -am, -all. Quick Things to Know: Use your tiles that you cut out already.Practice spelling, tapping, and reading the words. Tasks:Put your letter tiles in alphabetic order like they are set up on our Fundations boards in class. Make the following words one at a time. Each time you make the word, tap out each sound, read it, and then spell the word away. You can pick any choice from the Bingo board. 2. Use your W.O.W book to write down your ideas. Tasks: 1. Read the Write at Home Bingo board options or have a family member read them to you.2. Pick a topic for the day and begin writing. 3. Check your work for capital letters, neat handwriting, correctly spelling word wall words, and punctuation. 4. Color in the box when you have finished. Science/Social Studies (1 activity for 25 minutes)You will explore PebbleGo! to learn about chimpanzees and other mammalsTasks: ?Log in to (Username: cblib Password: School)Click on the?Green?Sign In button. Click on the?orange?Animals Tab. Click on the tab that says Mammals. Now find the tab that says Primates. Finally click on the tab that says Chimpanzees. Using the?blue?tabs under Chimpanzees, you can read the information or listen to it read to you by clicking on the yellow speaker. Continue by tapping each tab at the top- Body, Habitat, Food, Life Cycle, and Fun Facts. Click on the?purple?tab Read More. Under Books click on?Chimpanzees: A 4D Book. To turn the pages, you can use the side arrow keys on your computer or swipe on a touch screen. You can read or listen to the story read aloud by clicking on the arrow. Once you are finished, click on the x to take you back to Read More and then click on the x in the orange circle. At the bottom of the screen click on the video, then the headphones to listen to the sounds that the Chimpanzee makes and then click on the Globe to see a map of where they live. There are also printables if you choose to print and complete. Now that you know how to navigate this site, choose another animal to learn about.How is this assignment turned in to the teacher: If you would like, post a detail about the animal that you chose to read about on Seesaw for us all to learn something new.
