It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our sister and aunt Ann Marie MacNeil, (73). Ann Marie was born on May 17, 1948, in Mabou, NS to parents Bernie and Josephine (McMaster) MacNeil. She is survived by her brothers, Rory MacNeil and Sandy (Josephine) MacNeil, both of Mabou. Meme, as she was affectionately known, is also survived by her niece Cecilia (Vincent) Campbell of Mabou and nephew Chris (Laura) MacNeil of Timberlea, NS. She is also survived by grand-nephew, Kaden Campbell and grand-niece, Poppy Margaret MacNeil. Ann Marie was predeceased by her parents, and her brothers, Archie and Josie Andrew. She will be deeply missed, but will be remembered for her quiet demeanor, strong work ethic, practical approach, and compassionate heart. Ann Marie wanted to

express her appreciation for the care she received at the Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital including the doctors, nursing staff, kitchen, cleaning, and laundry staff who were so kind to her throughout her illness. Meme also wanted to say a special thank you to her niece, Cecilia Campbell, for all her help, friendship, and care throughout the years. Finally, she has asked to thank Fr. Bernie MacDonald and her palliative care team, Dr. Ritter, Lori Ann and Lyndsey, for their support throughout the last few months. We, Ann Marie's family, would like to also extend thanks to Fr. Dan MacDonald of St. Mary's Parish, as well as the attentive nursing staff, the palliative care team and Fr Bernie for helping support us and navigate such a difficult time. In lieu of flowers donations may be made the Central Inverness Palliative Care Society or to St. Mary's Cemetery Fund.
