Year-End: Self Evaluation

Note: There are multiple ways to begin a process in Workday. In addition to starting from an icon on your Workday homepage (worklet), you can use the Search Box to locate tasks, reports, workers, and views to which you have access.

SELF EVALUATION Access your Self Evaluation (SE) from your Workday Inbox. The SE is your opportunity to confirm how well you have accomplished your Goals. Providing your perspective and feedback on your entire years performance ensures that your manager has your input for consideration into your Year-End Evaluation.

Note: Completing your Self Evaluation is optional. If you chose not to complete your Self Evaluation, please Click Submit to send it your manager.

COMPLETING YOUR SELF EVALUATION This process begins after Goals have been entered and the Mid-Year Progress Check has been completed. 1. To open your SE, navigate to the top right of your Workday

screen, click on your name and picture

2. A drop down will open, click Inbox

3. Click the Action item Self Evaluation: FY20 Year-End Performance Review (your name follows the title)

4. Select either:

? Go to Guided Editor ? RECOMMENDED (for detailed guidance on how to navigate and complete the Self Evaluation)

OR

? Go to Summary Editor (if you are already familiar with Workday navigation and want to complete more quickly)

GOALS SECTION At the time the Year-End Review Process was initiated, only valid Goals that existed in your Individual Goals tab appear. If you are missing Goals, please add them directly into the SE. These Goals will write back to the Individual Goals tab when the review process is complete.

Important: Please know that updates to goals made in the SE will not take effect in the Individual Goals tab until the Review process is complete.

To edit:

1. Click on the pencil icon located on the right, or click anywhere in the Goal section to activate it:

? Consider changing the Status to "Completed" or another Status, if applicable

? All Goals must have a Category, Due Date and Status, otherwise, you will receive an error when you Submit your SE

? Provide optional comments toward the success of each Goal

? At the bottom of the Goals Section, there is a Summary Employee Evaluation Section

? Provide an optional Rating, indicating how best you believe you have fulfilled all of your Goals

? Provide comments to substantiate your rating This is also a good space to summarize the entire years performance or enter additional information you want to include

2. Once all Goals are filled to your satisfaction, click Next, if using the Guided Editor

FEEDBACK SECTION If "Anytime Feedback" or "Requested Feedback" has been received, it will be displayed here. 1. Click on the blue hyperlink number to display the feedback

? Review the feedback comments

? You will see the name of the employee who provided the feedback as well as all feedback received

? This feedback will be visible by your manager, as part of your Year-End Review

2. The Summary Employee Evaluation Comment field is optional. This comment space allows you to include additional information to your manager

3. Click Next, if using the Guided Editor

SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS SECTION Files can be attached to support your Review. Examples of things to consider attaching; ? letters of recommendation, emails you've received with positive feedback, offline client feedback forms, training certificates, certificates of accomplishments etc. To attach a file: 1. Click the Add button

2. Click the Attach button

3. Navigate to the document location, select the document, and click Open

4. Key additional information for your manager in the Comment field at the bottom, if necessary

5. Click Add again if you have multiple documents

6. Click Next, if using the Guided Editor

OVERALL SECTION This optional space is provided to allow you to summarize your past year's performance, or to include any additional or closing comments to your manager. 1. Click the Employee Evaluation Comment box

Year-End: Self Evaluation

2. Click Next, if using the Guided Editor

SELF EVALUATION CONCLUSION SECTION:

A summary displays of your input into the Self Evaluation.

1. Review everything carefully, and ensure it is exactly as you intended it to be. Your Self Evaluation ultimately becomes your Year-End Review for your manager to complete

2. Once satisfied with the contents, click Submit; otherwise click Save for Later

THINGS TO KNOW:

? If you accidentally submit your Self Evaluation before it is complete, contact your manager. He/She is the only person who is able to send it back to you

? The Self Evaluation is optional. However, some managers may require that you complete this process

? Regardless of whether or not you chose to complete your Self Evaluation, at a minimum, you are REQUIRED to submit your blank Self Evaluation to your People Manager

? Your manager does not have access to your Year-End Review until you submit your Self Evaluation
