3. The preposition, its object, and any modifiers of the object make up a prepositional phrase. Example: The cat climbed up the tree. Up the tree is the prepositional phrase. (page 361)

4. A preposition may have more than one object. Example: Cheerleading can be for boys and girls. Boys and girls are your objects of prepositions. (page 362)
