A very quick guide to getting started with Texmaker

What this handout is intended to do for you Using this handout, you should be able to start Texmaker using one of the School's Scientific Linux 6 systems. You should be able to open a file, for instance, one of the example files from the first LaTeX lecture. You should be able to modify the file, view a PDF version of the output and print the output.

Step 1 ? starting Texmaker Assuming you have logged into linux and your screen looks like this, you can find Texmaker from the start menu:
