Welcome to Advanced Placement Biology with Mrs. Willis. AP Biology is a college-level biology course designed by the College Board ®. It is intended to replicate a full year of college biology (two full semesters) and many colleges and universities will award college credit for students completing the course and succeeding on the AP exam in May. Since the course is done only in three marking periods, a great deal of the responsibility is on the students’ shoulders, as it will be in college. The Biology course has been designed around four “Big Ideas” and 6 Science Practices:
