TIPS FOR SUCCESS IN AP MACRO

1. Understand, rather than memorize the information.

2. Learn to think, write, and speak in the language of economics.

3. Use study groups to problem-solve and complete homework for test review.

4. Avoid getting behind. Economics is cumulative (like math) and becomes more difficult if you miss out on key concepts early on in the semester.

5. Knowledge of current economic events is necessary. Read newspapers, news magazines, watch a variety of major television news/business programs.

6. PREPARE BEFORE CLASS. Read the chapter, define terms, take notes on your reading, practice the graphs, and have questions ready.
