New App Launches Virginia History into 21st Century

New iPhone app uses interactive technology to revive Virginia history

Austin, TX (Oct. 18, 2013): Atomic Axis, a software solutions company, released the Virginia Historical Landmarks App for the iPhone. The Virginia Historical Landmarks App gives users access to over 2,100 historical markers, their locations and detailed descriptions related to their history all in one easy-to-use app.

The app provides an easy to use map interface that guides users through Virginia’s rich history while they travel or from the comfort of their own home. The app also allows users to pinpoint historical markers close to you, retrieve driving directions to each landmark, keep a tally of the markers you have visited, and even record photos at each visited historic site. Users can delight in learning more about the state’s famous attractions and monuments as well as the joy of digging up Virginia’s little known, hidden gems. While traveling, you even have the ability to receive notifications anytime you are closing in on a landmark.

Features:

● Beautiful iOS 7 optimized graphics – designed for an engaging user experience.

● Get a whole new perspective on Virginia’s landmarks by using the “Map” feature.

● When you visit one of these landmarks, you can “check in” there and start a running list of all the places you’ve been to. You’ll also get “points” with each check-in. Do you love traveling? See how many points you can rack up!

● Make your own photo album by adding your pictures of each landmark.

● Toggle your settings to receive notifications whenever you’re near a landmark.
