ATTENTION WACS STUDENTS:
Due to an early dismissal @ Macomb schools for School Improvement on November 10th there will be no WACS classes at any of the Macomb sites including Macomb High School, Spoon River College & WIU
In observance of Veterans Day on Tuesday, November 11th there will be no WACS classes at any of the school locations which include IW, Hamilton & Macomb (including SRU & WIU).
NOTE: The Criminal Justice class held @ Carl Sandburg College in Carthage will be in session on Tuesday, November 11th and all students will be expected to attend.
The Medical Terminology class will meet on Thursday, November 13th instead of Tuesday, November 11th.

STUDENT COUNCIL
There will be a student council meeting on Thursday, November 13, at 8 AM in room 101, Mrs. Latherow’s room. Committees please meet prior to the meeting and bring your reports to the meeting. If you cannot attend, please see Mrs. Latherow or Mrs. Flesner.

DUAL CREDIT STUDENTS
Dual Credit Students: Registration forms for second semester classes need to be returned to Mrs. Logan no later than Friday, November 14th. We will be offering Freshman Comp II, Intro to Sociology, and Intro to Speech. Tuition must be paid by December 1st.
THE DRISKELL VS. BOYER DEAL
It has come to my attention that if the IW Chargers Varsity Football team makes it to the Championship Game; Andy Boyer, Ross Hutson, Derek Vanfleet, Luke Burling and Kyle Hartzell can shave Mr. Driskell’s head during the Pep Rally after the State Championship Game.
IWHS SOPHOMORE CLASS FUNDRAISER
Illini West High School-Class of 2011 will be hosting a Trivia Contest Fundraiser on November 16th, 2008 @ 1:00 p.m. Cost: $10.00 per person or $80.00 per team of 8 participants. You may sign up as an individual and we will put you on a team, or you may organize your own team. This is a great opportunity for the Illini West communities to get together for an entertaining & enjoyable afternoon. There will be 10 different categories of questions. The 1st place team will receive their entry fee back, 2nd will receive half of their entry fee back. FBLA
FBLA students can sign up for the Western Area Conference which is scheduled on January 15, 2009. Permission slips are on the bulletin board. Please only sign up if you are serious about attending. You can only sign up for one event.
Congratulations to the IWHS-FBLA Team 2 for receiving high and honorable scoring at the Culver-Stockton College Case Study on November 6, 2008. These students represented IWHS well. They are: Natalie Northup, Joe Goetz, Halie Goetz, Natasha Miller, Kari Neill, and Bryan Fox.

Attention All Charger Fans!!!
As you know we play Aledo on Saturday, and we are wanting to make some noise! This is then plan, save your used milk jugs , put a few rocks in it and bring them to the game. Leave them plain, or you can get crazy and decorate them. We want a stand full of "Shakers" making noise!!
If you are not coming to the game, but would like to donate a used milk jug, just drop them off to me at Hairport. Feel free to pass this on to others.

Families Coalition invites parents, teachers, students, and community members to attend the community “Voices” presentation to be held Tuesday November 18th at 7:00 pm at University of Illinois Extension. This is the most widely used drug-prevention and character building assembly program in the United States and provides inspiration in a culture where substance abuse, violence and declining moral values bombard youth everyday. No reservations are necessary and we hope you plan to attend!
