Setting up your iPhone and iPadThe following guide walks you through, step by step, setting up your iPhone or iPad so it enrolls into the Devon County Council device management system. The whole process takes around 10 minutes from start to finish. We use exactly the same system that the VirginCare IT team use. We hope the process is as seamless and stress free as possible for you. We’ve also created a quick video which you can follow if you prefer video Getting StartedDevice wipeAt an agreed time, your phone and or tablet will be wiped by the VirginCare IT team and will restart automatically. The screen will display the Apple logo against a black screen whilst a progress bar indicates the progress of the device wipe. This part of the process may take a couple of minutes.Press the home button at the bottom of the phone or iPad to begin the setup process when the ‘Hello’ screen appears.22987034988500166116034988500 Select ‘English’ as your preferred language.Select ‘United Kingdom’ as your Country or Region. Please note if the screens you are seeing are different or do not follow the same order as this guide, don’t worry. Simply choose any option you think sensible. There are no wrong options. You only need to get past a few of these screens before the enrolment begins.180975838200016681458445500Choose a Wi-Fi Network. Simply tap the appropriate Wi-Fi Connection and enter in the relevant password if the Wi-Fi connection is password protected. Tap ‘Next’.At the Remote Management screen you will notice it will make reference to Virgin Care. This is fine. Tap ‘Next’.16662401524000016129015240000At the Remote Management login screen, enter in your NHS email address. The password will be emailed to you separately and is not the same as your normal NHS login password.Your phone or tablet will then receive its configuration settings.At the Location Services screen, tap ‘Enable Location Services’. At the Welcome to iPhone or iPad screen tap ‘Get Started’17043404095750023685540957500Your phone or iPad will now install all the apps and shortcuts. If you get a popup to edit your home screen, tap ‘dismiss’.You will be prompted to input a 6-digit passcode. Tap ‘continue’ and enter in a 6-digit passcode. Re-enter the code when prompted and tap ‘Save’. Once done your phone or tablet is ready to use.17633951511300014414515113000What Next?Once your phone has been setup you can then add your NHS email into the Mail app. Whilst we don’t have your NHS details, we do have a handy Apple guide below which explains where to add your details using a Microsoft Exchange account.
