If any verification items are required, please submit them to our office in a timely manner. It is highly recommended that you complete the 2020/2021 FAFSA as well to meet important deadlines for the upcoming academic year. If your summer financial aid application materials are received by March 15, 2020, your application will be evaluated prior to the start of registration and you will be sent an award notice via your JTCC student email detailing your eligibility.Students that submit their summer financial aid applications after the March 31, 2020 guarantee date should check their myTyler account to determine if they have been awarded. If you have not been awarded by the tuition due date, your classes will be dropped for non-payment unless you have made payment to the Business Office.After registration begins on March 30, 2020, you must register within two weeks upon being awarded to ensure that your aid does not get cancelled due to non-enrollment. Provided your financial aid awards are sufficient enough to cover the cost of your tuition and fees, you will not need to make a payment to the Business Office. If your financial aid awards are NOT sufficient enough to cover your entire balance due, you must pay the remaining balance by the Friday of the week that you register or you will be dropped from your course(s). During late registration, you must pay the remaining balance by the end of the same business day that you register or you will be dropped from your course(s). Regarding AwardingIf you add or drop a course after you have been awarded, your award(s) may be revised and you will be responsible for notifying the Financial Aid Office and for paying any balance resulting from your schedule changes. If you are not eligible for any grant funds, you will be sent an e-mail notification and will be provided with the option to apply for a Federal Direct Loan. Your Federal Direct Loan application must be submitted by Wednesday, May 6, 2020 to guarantee processing prior to the first tuition deadline for general registration on Monday, May 11, 2020. If you are not interested in applying for a loan or you are not eligible, you would need to be prepared to pay for your course(s) by the tuition due date.If you have sufficient aid to purchase books, bookstore charging will begin at the Bookstore on Tuesday, May 18, 2020 and end on Friday, June 5, 2020. You must be awarded prior to charging books. If you are not meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) standards after Spring 2020 grades are posted, your financial aid awards will be canceled for the Summer 2020 term. You will be responsible for paying any resulting balance by the tuition due date. ................
