The Carson Center endeavors to make the arts accessible to all people in the Four Rivers Region, regardless of their ability to pay for tickets. Scholarship tickets may be available to schools and not-for-profit organizations for select performances. To find out if you are eligible for financial assistance, please refer to the scholarship description below.

Carson-Myre Family Foundation Scholarship Fund

Financial assistance is available through the Carson-Myre Family Foundation Scholarship Fund for schools and not-for-profit organizations in Western Kentucky and Southern Illinois who serve children and adults wishing to attend a performance at the Carson Center but who may not be able to afford the full price of the ticket.

Scholarship Information

Please read the information below before submitting your scholarship request application.

• The Carson-Myre Family Foundation Scholarship Fund is available for schools and not-for-profit organizations in Western Kentucky or Southern Illinois.

• Performances in the following series at the Carson Center are eligible for scholarships: Class Acts Education, US Bank Family, First Stages, and Myre. Scholarship tickets may not be available for every performance due to contractual obligations with theater companies.

• Distribution of scholarship funds is managed by the Carson Center’s Community Outreach Support Committee which evaluates the financial need and objectives of each request. Questions should be directed to the Carson Center Executive Director at 270.443.9932 x 250 or mkatz@; or the Director of Education and Outreach at 270.443.9932 x235 or jmorehead@.

• Funds are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to availability.

• Applicants must be a school or legally incorporated as a not-for-profit organization with IRS 501(c) 3 status.

• Requests for tickets must be made a minimum of four weeks prior to the requested performance date and before ticket reservations are paid in full. If past this date, please contact mkatz@ or jmorehead@ before submitting application.

• All requests must be made by completing the Carson-Myre Family Foundation Scholarship Fund Application. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

• Applicants will be notified by the Carson Center of acceptance or denial of request within one week of receipt of request. Please contact mkatz@ or jmorehead@ if you do not receive a notification within that time period.
