Of all of the participants who were surveyed, all of them either responded to each survey question with strongly agree or agree. Overall, the workshops were helpful. In the future, workshops will be advertised well in advance. Hopefully, the workshops will be announced at least one month in advance, and targeted participants will be notified by mail as well as by email, flyers, faculty, staff, etc. Finally, it is suggested that students preparing to take Praxis II exams for the second or more times be mandated to attend Praxis II workshops offered by the College of Education.AMSTI Training – Summer 2010SummaryThe Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE) and the Governor of Alabama are partners in encouraging preservice teachers to seek certification in the Alabama Math, Science, and Technology Initiative (AMSTI).
