161 – Wheelchair power pack to help the Carer of a young pensioner who had lost his mobility after a stroke – family paid half and we paid half to be a good neighbour (50%ERGC)

160 – An “E – Bike” for injured, medically retired from the Army, socially isolated single man with PTSD and previous attempts at suicide – needs e-bike due to injury and struggles with inclines – in partnership with client, Eastwood Rotary and us to improve this mans life (32% ERGCauses)

159 – Removal cost for a single mum and young child living in temporary homeless flat to settle in a permanent tenancy of their own – had no way of paying as reliant on benefits (100$ ERGC)

158 – Clothing grant given to social worker enabling her to take a young single parent to buy appropriate trousers and work shoes for starting her new part time job (100%)

157 – Chrome Book for a student who would be excluded from course work due to having no computer to access online learning – didn’t meet Digital Inclusion Government criteria (100%)

156 – Locking e Bike mechanism that cant be cut by plyers to keep safe an E-Bike with a high value that we provided in partnership with others for injured ex forces veteran (100% ERGC)

155 – Washer dryer for a family household of 2 adults and 4 kids where mum is a kinship Carer for a nephew as well as her 3 kids – in partnership with Children 1st (50% ERGoodCauses)

154 – GRO clock to help single parent with depression to settle her pre school child into a routine after returning to nursery – worked through Family First team at local authority (100% ERGC)

153 – Window Blinds “topping up” items provided by the state for a Care Experienced single parent moving from temporary furnished homeless property into own tenancy (50% ERGC)

IN MEMORY OF – All work we do is to thank God for the founder of ERGoodCauses second gift of life after lifesaving surgery in 2007, and guided by his personal Christian faith he wished to honour the memory of the sadly deceased donor whose 2 donated organs live on inside Russell.

152 – Couch/bedroom,m furniture for a separated adult who had become homeless after losing his job during Covid 19 – given new tenancy and some goods from the Scottish Welfare Fund – we purchased second hand furniture from Helping Hands G78 to top up state provision (100%)

151 – Waterproof mattress for a teenager with double incontinence problems and other disabilities who had been homeless after fleeing domestic abuse – in partnership with Children 1st (50%)

Xxx – Donated vouchers to enable social worker to take client for underwear/basic clothing after being released from prison with only the clothes they were wearing when arrested – client is engaging with all frontline services in a genuine attempt to turn their life around (Zero cost ERGC)

150 – In partnership with Children 1st (formerly National Society for prevention of cruelty tchildren) gave Swingball set & other recreational activities to make it easier for a single parent with mental health issues to care for her teenage autistic daughter who’s prone to violent outbursts (50%)

149 – Replace an irrepairable washing machine for a single parent with multiple and severe disabilities, who requires oxygen at night – client paid half and we gave a helping hand (50%)

148 – Helping hand contribution from ERGoodCauses for a wooden outhouse for use by an autistic young adult – place to have hobbies and prevent being housebound (35% ERGC)

147 – Home improvement to encourage a young, homeless care leaver, to continue his great efforts to improve his life chances by engaging with all the support services (50% ERGC)

146 – In partnership with the Maxwell Mearnscastle Christian Support Fund, we got a contractor ESAS21 to do a garden clearance for an ex services adult who is unable to maintain their garden due to severe mobility issues caused during service to our country (50% ERGoodCauses)

145 – Garden shed for a teenager with autism to provide a “calming outdoor safe place” and give parents a hand in looking after their son – in partnership with ER Carers Centre (64% ERGC)

XXX – Lightweight folding wheelchair and ramp to enable a family to have an elderly father who is mobility impaired after a stroke, visit and prevent social isolation enabling him to stay living independently in own home – all donated items so no actual cost to ERGoodCauses (0% ERGC)

144 – Wheelchair ramp to enable a Carer to take her husband who has dementia, out into their back garden – Health & Social Care Partnership provided expensive ramp at front of the house but cant access the back garden from front or side of the house (100% ERGoodCauses)

143 – Chrome book for a socially isolated child with Aspergers Syndrome to help with both school and social activities to try and prevent exclusion on many different fronts (100% ERGoodCauses)

142 – Chrome Book to enable a previously addicted adult to fill in Universal Credit application etc. and fully engage with the raft of frontline services involved in supporting this person to turn their life around - has become an excellent Care support for another person (100%)

139 – Replaced a Fridge/Freezer for an adult Carer of an autistic child with multiple and complex disabilities requiring support from many frontline agencies to enable child to stay at home (100%)

138 – Booster seat, compression bed sheet and weighted blanket to help a pre school child with non verbal autism to encourage child to sleep in bed and sit at table for mealtimes (100% ERGC)

137 – In partnership with ER Carers Centre we provided plants/gardening items for elderly carer of adult with learning difficulties – mum took over full caring instead of support workers (50% ERGC)

XXX – Provided a PAT tested donated Ipad for a disabled adult with learning difficulties – we had sent them a chrome book but it proved too difficult to use, so we gave it to another person (0%)

136 – Scottish Welfare Fund paid £110 towards removal cost of £280 for a single parent with multiple health disabilities and family unit solely reliant on Universal credit (60% ERGoodCauses)

135 – Clothing grant to help a kinship Carer clothe two kids who had grown during lockdown –which had reduced her earning ability – provided helping hand to this wonderful person (100%)

134 – In partnership with the family, we contributed to the cost of a wet floor shower install for an elderly mobility impaired parent living independently in their own home – (18% ERGoodCauses)

Jul 20 – Contribution towards the cost of a “Brownies” trip to prevent a girl missing out as the household were unable to pay for her to go – single parent with disability (66% ERGoodCauses)

Jul 20 – Bought packed lunch for 22 vulnerable/special needs kids to attend a summer transition event for them going from P7 into S1 at Woodfarm high school – helps reduce anxiety (100%)

Jul 20 – In partnership with the parents, provided outdoor climbing frame/swing for the household where 2 primary school age kids are autistic – will give parents some respite (50% ERGC)

Jul 20 – Variety of small sensory toys for a single parent family where more than one child has autism – toys will help mum calm kids down when they get over stressed due to autism (100%)

Jul 20 – Clothing grant for supervised spend by social worker for young kids who moved to live with one parent due to poor mental health of the other parent living in another country (100%)

Jul 20 – Chrome Book for a Kinship Carer household who look after a primary school age child with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder – in partnership with ER Carers Centre (50%ERGC)

Jul 20 – In partnership with the ER Carers Centre, we provided a high fence to provide privacy/security for a child on the Autistic spectrum to feel safe in their garden (60%)

Jul 20 – Clothing grant to social worker for a supervised spend – 2 primary school age kids outgrown almost all their clothing – single parent as father of kids in prison (100%)

Jul 20 – Clothing grant for a single parent with disabilities – had outgrown almost all their clothes partly down to their medical condition and made worse due to Lockdown (100%)

Jul 20 – Kids games for both indoor and outdoor to a single parent and kids fleeing domestic abuse and living in temporary homeless flat whilst waiting for a tenancy of their own – fled with nothing – worked with Children 1st to help this family (100% ERGC)

Jul 20 – Chrome book for a single parent household where mum has bi-polar and Lupus – daughter has type 1 diabetes, in secondary school but without computer to access schoolwork during Covid 19 – both parent/child are in the shielded category (50% ERGC)

Jul 20 – IPad for early primary school age child with global developmental delays, hypermobility and requiring 1 to 1 support – partnered with ER Carers Centre (50% ERGC)

Jul 20 – Disabled parent on benefits requiring bunk beds as dampness in house has made existing beds mouldy and unusable for the 2 kids – Landlord is fixing damp problem – one of the 2 young kids has Attention Deficit Syndrome with hyperactivity (100% ERGC)

Jul 20 – Bike for a young autistic child who attends Isobel Mair School to enable him to participate in family outings and not be excluded due to his disability – (100% ERGC)

Jun 20 – Trampoline for an autistic young child to enable exercise and stimulation during Covid Lockdown and make it easier for parents to look after and care for him (50%)

Jun 20 – Volunteer collected donated non- perishable groceries/toiletries from ERGC Store at Maxwell Mearnscastle Church, then another pick up of multiple donations from ERGC registered office, dropping off at Overlee House for homeless in temporary accommodation.

Jun 20 – Closomat toilet for teenager with non-verbal autism - attends Isobel Mair School – enables them to visit toilet independently as automatically helps the users’ hygiene needs (30%)
